Jack in the Box — Restaurant in Hillsboro

5 stars for cleanliness and kindness, the value fries were fresh and hot, the food is typical greasy unhealthy fast food but hey every once in awhile we share a French fries and enjoy. I am giving 3 stars because it is BURNING HOT inside. It was 92 outside and it felt like at least 100 degrees inside! I felt so bad for the employees. They had a large fan blowing up from the ground which now that I think of it is pretty nasty..... we know how much these franchisees make.... Please turn on your AC! Nobody wants to sit in a burning hot restaurant lobby and no one wants people sweating into their food. I asked the kid working if the AC was broken and he just kind of shrugged, beads of sweat rolling down his face. Fix the air conditioning and I will update to 5 stars! :) ps. If the dining area is this hot I cannot even imagine being next to a grill or those frying machines..... those poor people. As a manager of a small business before becoming a mother, this doesn't reflect well on the management or whomever made such a decision to turn this place into a sweat lodge. I recommend just driving through for those fries...

I am not a fast food person so may not be the best to advise but in a pinch I came here for a salad and water and the menu is all broken, there is a giant metal pole broken and tied to a tree right over the drive-thru, and I didn't get a "this place is clean inside" vibe as the person taking my order was very friendly but was coughing and sneezing and then as I picked up my order there was bottle of DayQuil on the counter right next to the shake machine..... I felt bad that the person had to work while sick but was level 10 grossed out and threw away my food and soaked my hands and steering wheel in Purell.... the manager never should let a person who is coughing and sneezing work around food. Seems pretty obvious and for me this is the managers responsibility to control this situation and not the employee. That person should be allowed to get well and not forced to work. I am a dental assistant and even wearing a mask I would never put people at risk this way. If you are contagious, coughing and/or sneezing? STAY...

Burgers are too dry, fries are soggy and breakfast is terrible at this location

I don't have any problems with any other location, but the one on Imbrie Drive in Hillsboro, Oregon has always been pretty terrible.

The franchise owner can barely keep the lights on most of the time. Just seems really run down and they don't care about brand image.

Remember they are supposed to represent Jack in the Box, not themselves. It is 100% a miss at this location. The only thing they have going for them is convenience, other than that the food is terrible.

Edit 06/15/2022 Tried giving this particular Jack in the Box another chance. No more chances from me. New "Double Bacon Cheesy Jack": Burgers dry, undercooked bacon, no cheese (dried) sauce. Very plain and very dry. Curly fries were like the bottom of the bag, super crispy, but tasted like the oil needs changed. I'm dredding trying the mini churros that were cooked in that same oil.
