If I could rate this a zero I would. I am the former GM of this location. The owner was trying to get me to work for him since February 2022 and I finally agreed in November with conditions in place. Since it was an hour commute we agreed I only have to work 40 hours and get paid at 62k, 7k more then the other GMs in the franchise. I had to retrain the entire staff, just for it to be presentable. I was not given a heads up on the what I was walking into. The store is over a year behind on getting refreshed. They wouldn’t fix anything that needed to be fixed. The mens room sink fell off the wall bc they didn’t want to get it fixed. In January we discussed a bonus arrangement since I wouldn’t make bonus for food safety based off the conditions of the store. Holes in the walls, floor, missing tiles all things I had no control over. They didn’t even have a health inspection or the report! I got blamed for it! I wasn’t even there for it. After fighting for my bonus and telling them I deserve it and that they set me up to fail, they refused my bonus and terminated me 3 days later saying they couldn’t afford me anymore. The owner ignored me the 3 days leading up to my termination until I called him out in a manager chat where he apparently got embarrassed and decided to let me go. The GM that was already “ready” was suppose to be for the Ewing location. Upon terminating me, they brought the new GM with him that day, completely unprofessional. This business is so poorly run and the owner has zero good experience. Not a good place to work. Five guys in general is a good job, but this...
Read moreThis is my second bad experience at 5G. This time, while ordering through DoorDash, I ordered probably the easiest order one could come up with. Two hot dogs, one cheeseburger and a small cajun fries. The hot dogs were smothered in mustard. To the point that I had to remove the GOBS of mustard by using four napkins. The fries had all escaped out of the cup they were poured into , were soggy and cold. Amazingly enough, it was 20 minutes from when I received the confirmation from DD to the delivery being placed at my front door. What a letdown. Maybe a few fries would shift out of the bag like like McD's, but every single one was at the bottom of my bag and COLD. I wrote the same review on DD and I don't blame the driver. I blame a place that just doesn't care because the food is subpar (again), messy, overpriced, and obviously anyone overseeing the quality or the way the orders are packed and shipped should be ashamed. Lastly, I watch in restaurants and convenience stores when they are preparing DD orders and they seem to have pride as if it doesn't matter that someone else is delivering it, but you still made it for a customer. A customer that pays your check and keeps the doors open. Regardless of where it's getting ordered from. Shame on management and the staff for not caring about the quality...
Read more6:50 on 12/14/17: Screw up my order the first time and I'll cut you some slack and I pointed out nicely that the bacon cheeseburger was not ordered with tomatoes (tomatoes were not on the order or on the receipt). I waited for a replacement "on the fly." Well, the replacement looked like a kiddie's burger and was missing the bacon and I pointed this out and was handed aluminum foil with some bacon in it.
Screw it up AGAIN after I return it and shame on you especially after I gave you the receipt that had the order CORRECT on it and explained it to you. Handing me the components wrapped in foil that you forgot the second time says that you just don't care.
I ended up leaving the food at the pick-up area and leaving. I'm out the money that I paid (I didn't bother asking for a refund -- it is the cost of learning that some places no longer care about customer service) and I had to go elsewhere to eat. There was no excuse for this other than not caring about their customers. They weren't busy and the shift manager that handled this just stared at me like he had lost his puppy. You can apologize, but an apology without sincerity or proper action is about as useless as a fork when you need a straw.
You've lost a good customer. I...
