Jamaica Joe'z — Restaurant in Hilton Head Island

This is a great bar by the beach. Especially on a downpour day & a band decides to play. Most people come here with a $5 parking pass to use $5 at the bar. But the staff comes out & serves you + takes your order. Things will never be the same as years pass, it can go up & down likewise in popularity. But that only serves for someone to try their hand at managing things based on what works on slow or busy days. Either the bar or band seemed ready for 4th of July when the rain came. Native music was their name. Sometimes promotions will sell bigger drinks at times to bring in new crowds, so take advantage of that while it lasts. But there should be a minimum standard for a price given. I feel they should have a covered walk way all the way to the bar or cover it more to handle crowds to get out of the sun..I just know my drink is on fleck for the $12.50 I paid for a 24oz. The best thing about Jamaica Joe'z is the location. It's right between the beach and condo's we stayed at. (I don't include its proximity to the pool as a plus because that's filled with screaming kids all day long). Second best thing are the food prices: you get what you pay for as most of it is beige-fried bar food but at less than $10 per box it is highly convenient. The drinks are pricey ($7-$9) for their fairly weak strength. Seems like they should be in the $5 price range. I was not impressed by the bartender. This young man clearly did not want to be there. Quaint little beach bar and grill in the island resort. You do have to pay to get to the restaurant if you aren't staying at the resort. It is $5 per person for a pass, but if you are only going for the food it can be applied to it almost like a gift card. The drinks were good and the selection is plentiful. There is something there for everyone. The menu has a good mix of many types of food from seafood to barbecue to generic bar food. Everything we ate was good.
