Let me start by saying that Tik Tok brought me here⌠Ok, Iâll give you the good the bad and everything in between with this review.
The Good: I expected this to be only cafeteria style but I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they offer buffet that the staff serve for you. The price was very reasonable, considering inflation and the fact that itâs buffet/AYCE. We paid $13.99 for adult buffet and $5.99 for a childâs buffet. We got there as soon as they opened and the food was fresh and hot and drinks are also included in the buffet price. Desserts are not included but they had a big variety of cakes, pies and banana pudding. The waitress was attentive and friendly.
The Bad: The food was very hit and miss. We had the fried and baked chicken, rice with gravy, collard greens, corn, sweet potato, mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet cornbread and of course the Mac n cheese. The fried chicken and baked chicken were both seasoned well and was pretty tasty. The sides however was the hit and miss for me. The greens were bland and the corn was extremely bland and kind of hard/dry which is odd because it was sitting in water but the corn was still hard and dry. The mashed potatoes was bland but because the turkey gravy was seasoned, it made it taste better. The side that everyone loves, the Mac n cheese, was pretty good. It was creamy and well seasoned so I canât complain about that. The sweet cornbread was ok. A bit on the dry side so I only had two bites and couldnât eat anymore of it. The food overall as a whole for me was a 6.5/10.
Decor: I completely understand the Mardi Gras/New Orleans theme but the decor inside this restaurant was a little over the top. Every wall space and corner was completely filled with beads, clothing, hanging cloths, painting, etc⌠I found it to be a little more than necessary.
Overall, I rate this place a 6/10. We passed through on our way from jacksonville fl to Augusta Fl. The food looks amazing on the tik toks, but itâs not quite as great as it looks. For the price, itâs decent but not worth the drive for anyone...

First off I only get the baked wings and of course my sides etc. My husband always fried chicken... Well when we came in the employees wasn't pleasant at all!!! So I ordered my wings and she put 2 wings on my plate so I asked her um excuse me I thought it was 3 wings she said No very rudely really your only supposed to get 2 all while she is putting my 3rd wing on the plate so she slides my plate over to the next rude server so my husband order his usual 2 breast so obviously she wasn't listening and gave him a 1 breast and a thigh(ww didn't notice until we got home) Next day We go back because hubby and I was exhausted frm wrk walk in no warm welcome like when we come in the day time... Anyway I ordered my wings.... Rude server #2 from the day before says very rude like" WE OUT OF WINGS CUZ THE DUMB COOK DECIDED TO LEAVE EARLY" hmmm so no sorry for the inconvenience of order no meat just rice gravy and Mac cheese... The only reason I ordered tht is because they had 1 friendly face a young Asian girl she was very nice and friendly and at least tried to make my husband and I experience a lil better.... Basically Night shift SUCKS DNT EVER GO FOR DINNER!!! GO DURING THE DAY THEY ARE ALWAYS FRIENDLY AND FULLY...
Read moreI made a trip of 40 miles out of my way to visit this Facebook/Instagram star. I was expecting to be blown away. When we arrived there were so many cars in the parking lot, I thought I had made a horrible decision. When I walked inside, I thought I was on the set of Aladdin III. The atmosphere is that of a New Orleans meets Arabian Nights.
Then when I stepped into the serving area, I was surprised at how dark the area was. Not that it affected the food in anyway, but I'm so use to the spotlight shining on the restaurant star attraction.
The food was fair. It's not something I enjoyed even though I paid for the All You Can Eat special. I only ate one time. I did try to get a variety of items, so I could provide a fair assessment. For me the star of the show was some Crab Balls that looked like round hush puppies. That's all I'm going to say about that. I did go back to buy my daughter some Ooey Gooey Key Lime Cake. I must say it was awesome, but please check your blood work before eating and get your doctor's approval. It is sweet and rich. Excellent taste, and not ad throat scratching as real Key Lime Pie. The restaurant does seem to be popular with the...
