Garbo's Italian Deli & Pizza — Restaurant in Ho-Ho-Kus

This place is one of my favorites! I recommend the breakfast sandwich with scrambled eggs, Swiss cheese and Boar's Head bacon. It's amazing. Their salads and chicken dishes are also worthy of note. In particular, their Corn Salad is delicious--the Italian dressing is wow. Also their chicken salad is off the charts. Finally their Chicken Oriental is the best chicken in the world. It's thin pieces of chicken breast with red and green peppers, pea pods and lite vinaigrette dressing. It's worth driving there just for this. Lastly they have hero sandwiches that are HUGE. A small deli that's perfect for wine & cheese.

Garbo's Deli offers a good sandwich or dinner platter choice like most delis, but family run and worth the effort for fresher tasting vegetables and fruits and quality meats. The best part is they have a good selection of wines to offer and cheese platters, making for a perfect spot to pick up for small gatherings in the area. They also have pizza options, though I went with the sandwiches, and a quick snack selection if you're just passing by and want to grab something quick.
