Sunny Wok — Restaurant in Ho-Ho-Kus

If i could give this restaurant a -0 star I would. to be clear i do deliveries for this restaurant thru a food app and so that we are clear i have let them know the same thing im telling you. if you seen how dirty this place is you would not order from this restaurant. There is dust dirt and mold all over the menu sign the ceiling and walls. None of them wear gloves and they pickup the food with there barehands. Which means if you order beef and chicken they are picking up the chicken barehanded then using the same hands to pickup the chicken. Being that it is RAW FOOD THAT IS CROSS CONTAMINATION YOU CAN GET VERY SICK . There deep fryer oil is coffe black which means it is very old and has not been changed in a long time. I have also witnessed them frying food in a pan with old oil then dump the food and the old oil into the deep fryer and then fry the food again. I have seen one of there cooks come in the restaurant from outside walk straight in DID NOT WASH HIS HANDS AND PICKUP RAW CHICKEN AND PORK TOGETHER. If your wondering why YOUR FOOD DELIVERY IS TAKING SO LONG THATS BECAUSE THEY TAKE PHONE ORDERS FOR DELIVERY AND PICKUP FROM TWO SEPARATE LINES AS WELL AS GRUBHUB UBER EATS AND DOORDASH SO THEY TAKE MORE ODERS THEN THEY CAN HANDLE AND THERE IN HOUSE DELIVERY DRIVER IS OVERWHELMED WITH DELIVERIES SO HE IS ANGRY AND DRIVES LIKE A LUNATIC. They are breaking so many health code violations that if the health department showed up they would get closed down instantly. FOR ALL OF THOSE WHO ORDER OVER THE PHONE AND PICK IT UP OR YOU ORDER THRU A FOOD APP STOP BY THIS RESTAURANT IN PERSON AND SEE FOR YOURSELF WHAT NASTY FILTH YOUR FOOD IS...

Delicious takeout Chinese spot! Been driving past this lil unassuming spot for years and never tried it but thanks to my usual couple Chinese spots being temporarily closed, decided to give Sunny Wok a try and I am so happy I did. Ordered a bunch of stuff and everything was fresh and tasty. Portions of everything were generous and the prices were very reasonable. Special shoutout for the excellent sesame chicken, really flavorful and still crispy even after being the in the takeout container for a bit (see pics for other food highlights from this feast). Ordered boneless spare ribs, vegetable fried rice and and egg roll. Ribs were superrrr tough, the flavor and color was off from what you original think of when it comes to spare ribs. The fried rice was okay for the first few bites and then it started tasting greasy and not in a good way. Threw out the egg roll because it was that gross. I won’t be ordering from here again.
