~The absolute WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! Came in 11/20/17 at 4:01pm and paid $50.71 cash for a 45 slice pizza. Even left an additional $5.00 for the delivery person. Delivery was scheduled for 11am 11/21/17. This was a reward for my students who'd worked hard to meet the goals we agreed on. It was to be a celebration of success. ~The pizza had not been delivered at 11am and a student called to inquire. The reply was that there were some problems with the delivery but the pizza was on its way. The students only had until 11:27am to eat - and they were hungry. 10 minutes later it still wasn't there. Students went to wait for the delivery, only to be told that the pizza had been given to another teacher!! ~Now, when I ordered the pizza, in person, I gave my name, phone number and extension. The clerk had some problems with the computer as the data was entered. She gave me a receipt and I left. (I had to get my pet from the vet). I noted my phone numbers on the receipt ~I went to the other teacher's class and found them devouring our pizza! When I asked her about it she said she thought her husband sent it as a surprise. I asked if her husband was in the habit of surprising her class with $50.00 pizzas. ~I then called JJ Lake Station and informed the manager that I would be bringing her the bill so she could reimburse me, including the tip. She was apologetic and agreed to give me a voucher. She said that the $5.00 tip money was still in the envelope and would be returned to me. ~When I came in to JJ Lake Station after work and presented the bill, I was informed that the manager had called the other teacher and she had told them that she gave the pizza left overs to me and paid for half the pizza. This was untrue . ~I expressed my disapproval of this with the manager at J J Lake Station quite vehemently. ~My complaint is J J Lake Station did a poor job of customer service and compounded the snafu by not honoring my legitimate request for a full refund as agreed. Then, they made a side deal with the other teacher whose dishonesty was already manifested by her stealing and consuming my paid for pizza. ~So, I am out of $50.71 for the pizza plus $5.00 for the tip. Read morePassing thru Lake Station town... I checked J & J's reviews and decided to check it out... I went around noon time... I ordered a 12' Italian Beef... Wait time was 20 minutes... In chicago Italian beefs never take 20 minutes to make...plus they give you alot of toppings... But, if it takes 20 minutes to make... It better be damn good... The staff was ok... But a bit rushy...They hurry and take your order... Then they walk away.... It wasn't busy or anything... I sat and waited for my food patiently... I even played a pinball game.... I observed the staff as customer's came in and out.... They were treated the same way.... rushed... The food I ordered was good.... Only complaint is I ask for my cheese to be on top and bottom of the Italian beef... They put it on the bottom instead... I guess they put it on the bottom because they was rushing...lol... also...they never asked me if I wanted my bread toasted or not... It came toasted... I never eat it that way... But, I will visit a second time... However I did read alot of comments before I visted and seen a lot of poor reviews for the restaurant.... But I made a decision to check it out my self... Read moreI ordered from here today and got the usual kitchen sink pizza and stuffed Italian beef pizza with some wings. EVERYONE heard me order the STUFFED Italian Beef pizza, so that’s what we all expected. It finally gets here and... I got a regular Italian beef pizza. So I called to complain and was told that I was wrong that I never ordered stuffed. First off, I worked in the food industry before and I get that sometimes you miss hear a customer, but NEVER tell them they’re wrong. The golden rule is the customer is always right. And to add on the employee I spoke with got awful defensive when I ordered stuffed and you could tell he was irritated with me while ordering. I’m using my money on your product that I could be using elsewhere. That’s how to lose customers. But the kitchen sink and wings were perfectly fine (although the kitchen sink wasn’t as full as usual, but still delicious) When I spoke with the manager she seemed awful rushed, which I get, you guys are busy, but you shouldn’t rush a customer who’s trying to fix an issue...
