Electric Hero Holland — Restaurant in Holland Charter Township

I've been a big EH fan since they opened the Holland location. My favorite sandwich has always been the Buffalo chicken melt. However, over the past year or so, the quality has declined with that sandwich. Today, I ordered one for take-out and when I got home and started eating it, the amount of chicken was not anywhere near as generous as in the past (there was no meat within an inch of the edge of the bread). Also, there were only a few shreds of onion and no jalapeños on the sandwich. I noticed there were a couple of new faces behind the counter and I don't blame them at all. I believe the fault lies squarely on the owners/managers for not completely training their staff properly. I've had a few other Buffalo chicken melts there over the past year, prepared by some other new hires that were also sub-par (compared to years past). Sadly, I'm beginning to lose interest in the Electric Hero. I will continue to try them again, but if things don't change back... they may lose a loyal customer. I have always loved Electric Hero & know it may take some time to make the good food… unfortunately though my experience today was waiting 30m for my order, people who ordered after me with the same size order got their food first. The nice girl who took our order and went to make it was prepping food for our sandwiches and instead of stopping prepping to continue to make our order. I also witnessed her wipe her nose on her gloves a multitude of times… we also had to substitute pulled pork on our sandwich for chicken which wouldn’t have been a big deal until the long wait, inappropriate handling of our food and the girl continuing to cut apples after she cut enough for my sandwich… this will be the last time I stop in for a “QUICK lunch” … after biting into our food we aren’t...

I placed an online order for 1 sandwich at 11:36am during a weekday. I believe the estimated time for pick up was 11:51am on the website. I popped in around 11:55am expecting my order would likely be near completion. They were busy, no worries, I'll wait. Well I waited until 12:46pm. They had served any and all that walked in before and after me. I was literally the only one inside the shop waiting when I received my sandwich. It's worth noting I did inquire on my order upon arrival. I require a more sensible and reliable time frame during my work hours for lunch. I will not be returning during that time.
