Took the whole gang mini golfing today šŸ˜…

I was a little nervous going here after reading some of the reviews that had been posted. It was one of those "I've got to see this train wreck for myself" experiences. The sign that states "play at your own risk" was also unnerving. What could be so hazardous at a mini golf course? Once we paid and started our game, it was obvious the previous reviews were a bit harsh. Yes, the AstroTurf isn't brand new, yes there are some loose edge stones but overall it was playable. Most importantly, it was fun. I added a picture about the "dried up water" so you can see for yourself. Other than the first hole, I don't remember seeing any other spots like this. The ice cream at the end of the round was enjoyed by the kids and was certainly a generous portion. I will agree with previous reviews that the staff are not very welcoming or talkative or even seem interested that you are there. For what it is, I would go back.

They have recently turned over a new leaf and installed some new putting greens. It's made a big difference. We played the back 18 (there's two 18 hole courses here) and had a great time. The 18 holes for two people came with a free small soft serve. Staff was super friendly. Lots of clubs sizes available for really tall people down to toddlers. Ice cream is very reasonably priced, I'd even say cheap. All in all, it's a great place. There's a lot of 1-star reviews here that mention the course being in rough shape that I don't think are true anymore after some recent upkeep work.

Back 18 look a bit better than the front 18. When we got there, a boy was standing by the counter just hanging out with one of the employees and talking. We went up to the counter and had to talk to her around the random boy standing there. We played the front because the girl at the counter said that it was too busy to play the back but the first 5 holes for the back were empty. The greens are shredded in several spots, poison ivy growing around 3 of the holes near the front, a huge burdock (prickly burr) bush on hole 13, and there are a bunch of safety concerns on walkways and bridges. The second bridge is missing a chunk out of the support beam and tilted a good 30 degrees to the left. 2 of our 4 clubs were bent and we were charged $10 a person when the sign said only $9 each for the front 18 when paying with cash. Many holes were unplayable due to slices in the greens or bumps that cause the ball to ricochet straight up. Not a good experience at all. We nearly left after hole 10 because it was so bad but stayed in hopes it got better. Just a heads up, It didn’t. And yes, they offer free ice cream for a 5 star review. Don’t be fooled by the 4...

What a disappointment. Looks great from the road, that's the best compliment I can give this place. Run down, nothing like the pictures online. Hazardous walkways, collapsing bridges and decks. No handrails, no guardrails, dangerous stairways, and trip hazards everywhere. (Do they not have to follow any building codes!!!). Rotting green carpet hasn't been replaced in years. The carpet was worn through on most holes. You would think with 36 holes and all the water features they would take better care of this place. AND THE SMELL! The awful smell coming from all the disgusting ditch water in the place. Sorry, I can't comment on the ice cream, there's no way I would eat anything coming out of that nasty kitchen.

Yes, of course the kids had fun, they got to...
