A SAD EXCUSE FOR A CHIPOTLE.
I was so excited a chipotle FINALLY came to Hollister. However, the first time my friend and I went, we waited for an hour and FIFTY minutes for our online order. It was complete chaos in the restaurant, and it seemed like the entire staff was completely overwhelmed. Many people were walking out of the store after not getting their food OR money back. Some were even waiting for over 2 hours. I can somewhat forgive this experience given it was their first week of opening and I understand the demand was high. However, I went back to the store 3 days later to give them another chance. This time I arrived at the store at 11:50 am, thinking it would be much less busy on an early Sunday afternoon. I was right, no one was there... this was because everyone who walked in was getting turned away. One of the employees gruffly shouted at me âOh weâre still closedâ, as I waked through the UNLOCKED doors. This was an hour and five minutes AFTER their posted opening time. When I asked why they were closed he just told me to come back âin an hour or soâ... Iâm sorry, but how are you not prepared for a 10:45 opening?? You have the entire morning to prep the food and get the store in order for opening hours. If this was a âmom and popâ restaurant I would be much more understanding of working out the kinks in the first few weeks... but this is a franchise. They have a blue print and have opened hundreds of stores in the past. I am so disappointed with this opening and I will not...
Read moreI walked in with my boyfriend last night, waiting patiently for someone to come to the register. We were the only ones in there. After about 3 or 4 minutes of standing there they literally told us that they couldn't serve us at the front counter, that we have to order online! There was what I suppose is the manager standing by the soda machine who greeted us with "hi", yet said nothing about not being able to purchase food inside. They proceeded to tell us they were short-staffed but looking around nobody seem to be in a hustle like it should be if that really were the case. I get that it was about an hour before closing time but refusing customers will leave a bitter taste in this small town. All we came in for was a bowl of rice with corn in it. For future reference, you should probably put a sign up stating to order online somewhere on the door where the customers can see it before entering. Or even better, the owner should hire people who actually want to work and represent the business in a professional and positive way! We definitely will not...
Read moreMobile ordered my quesadilla today and got nothing but a burnt tortilla with parchment paper stuck to it. This place is in need of some serious help from corporate regionals. Just read all the bad reviews, this location is sold out of everything or they don't have anything in stock. Chipotle, send help please, your a fortune 500 company. You were rated as a Fortune's Most Admired Companies this year. I'm sure any other location your exceeding your expectations, but I feel that you have let this location down. As a local, I would like for this location to stride and become a place I could enjoy and admire as much as the fortune 500 claims you to be, but I am not seeing any improvement here. To the CEO, Brian Niccol, get your regional team out of the offices and off their executive office chairs and send someone to help them or at least pay them an unannounced visit to see what people are complaining about. Please get this place up and running the way it needs to...
