Crave Wine Company — Restaurant in Hollister

How I would love to put a review of Crave Wine company on yelp!!! This place is new to Hollister, and new as a whole. Having been opened for only six weeks, this place has it! Light, friendly, fun! A husband and wife company with charm and an eye... nose... pallet for local wines! If you know Napa and you like The Wine Thief, you will love this place... and the owners aren't rude like they are at wine thief!

My wife and I dropped in here on an evening date night close to closing time. There were maybe a dozen people there, but there was still space at the bar so we grabbed a couple of stools. Such a friendly place! One of the owners came over and greeted us and asked what we would like. Being new, we asked a few questions and opted for a tasting of the "cab franc". It was a cab alright, but a very unique profile! Cherry and currant on the nose, but a lingering citrus on the palette! It was amazing!!

We can't say enough good things about this place. They're new, and they have a thumb on the pulse of the local vineyards of the Hollister area! These arent wines at Safeway or Nob Hill. These are small boutique vineyards! These are the places like you would have found in Napa in the 70s before the Judgement of Paris! These are places with the ability to grow if they wanted or stay in small production like a vin-garage. Either way, COME CHECK THIS PLACE OUT! A quiet evening alone with a bottle of local wine and a book, or a more intimate tasting with a significant other... or even a fun tasting of Hollister with friends! This is a wonderful, charming place! We will be back here again... to pick up wines from our "20" (as in whats your 20?) wine...

Great wine, great atmosphere, and amazing prices! Founders are cute couple who are running this business. Very lovely and inspiring, if you want to spend afternoon-evening is a good choice. Probable would consider driving from the Bay Area to visit this place. Definitely a place which is a required...
