Mediocre food and rude, unfriendly service!
We’ve had lunch at this place twice in the past month. The first time, the food was good enough, but the service was indifferent and unfriendly. We got the feeling that since we were first-timers and not regulars, we weren’t that welcome. There were only a couple of other occupied tables at the time, and staff nearly outnumbered patrons. The food took a really long time to arrive and the waitress completely ignored us other than bringing the food and the bill ($50 for two entrees, an appetizer and 20% tip).
We decided to give the place another chance. This time there was a larger lunch crowd - about six tables of customers. The service (a different waitress) was again indifferent and unfriendly - actually uncomfortably so. One of the entrees was an item my husband hadn’t tried before so he wasn’t exactly sure what to expect. Turns out it was a totally different sandwich than what he’d ordered. It was (very dry) chicken instead of beef. When he asked the waitress about it she blamed the mixup on him, even though he had pointed to what he wanted on the menu when ordering. She never apologized or offered a remedy, since apparently it was his own fault that she got it wrong. 🙄 She did not check on us once except to bring the bill, and it took over half an hour to get the food. We will never go back to this lousy...

Read moreMy family and I (party of 9) went to support this local business this past Saturday 8/1 and upon arrival we were immediately and rudely told that they didn’t have a table for us. Mind you, when we arrived there was clearly an open table for 6, a table for 4 and a table for 2 open on the outdoor patio (Covid-19 patio only dining). We tried to ignore this older mans rudeness and continued to explain that we would gladly split our party up onto two tables but before we could even complete the sentence, this worker (older gray haired white male) rudely interrupted while rolling his eyes and says in a notch of volume louder “yeah but I don’t have a table for you!” and walked away. Instead of firing back and making a bigger scene, we choose to walk away and take our business elsewhere... to another locally owned business. We have vouched not to ever go back there and will tell everyone we know about the awful experience we had. The owners of this restaurant also have a restaurant called Grillin & Chillin Roadhouse on San Juan Road. Due to this experience, we will also not support or promote this restaurant either. I am baffled by this disregard of...
