I ordered a pizza for delivery last night and gave the girl taking my order my phone number. She was able to pull me up and called me by name over the phone. I placed my order and was told my order would be delivered in 25 to 30 minutes. When I did not receive it after an hour and 15 minutes I called to find out when it would be delivered. I was told by the boy that answered that my order had been switched to pick up and it was waiting for me. I told him that I never switched it how could that have happened, to which he indicated someone must have called back to change the order. He then told me he switched it back and would have the driver bring it as soon as he returned from another delivery. I asked him to please hurry as we had now been waiting for about 120 minutes. About 10 minutes later I receive a phone call from them saying they could not find my address when they typed it in for directions. At that point I handed my husband the phone, so he could give the driver directions. I heard him say thank you and hang up the phone. They told him at that point we were out of range for a delivery as its a 5 mile delivery radius and we were 7.5 miles away (they have delivered to us in the past). I called back and the same boy indicated the owner said it could not be delivered and there was nothing he could do. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced and I will never order from this restaurant again.
Response to owners response: The cashier took my address, and was full aware that it was a delivery, why else would she need my address? It is possible that once she hung up she realized it was out of your delivery range, but nobody called back to inform me of this. I thought the 25-30 time frame was a bit unrealistic, so that is why I waited over an hour before calling to find out when my delivery would arrive. It was at that time i was told it was "switched" to pick up and that someone must have called to change it. Obviously not the case. While I appreciate your being short drivers, quite frankly 2.5 additional miles would not be a huge difference in time, or temperature of a pizza. Not to mention the order was not refused, it was simply not delivered. As a result, my family waited over an 1 1/2 hours for dinner and were then told it was not coming. As a business owner, I would have gotten in the car and delivered the pizza myself after making a customer wait that long for a delivery, not inform them they would not be getting it at all. Happy Holidays to you , but I am sorry to say I will not be visiting your establishment...
Read moreWent to Valley Pizzeria for the first time after wheeling at a nearby offroad park. My intent was to find the most "hole in the wall" pizza place I could because I'm not a fan of franchise pizza. This place definitely checks that box. -As we entered the restaurant, we got a throwback kind of vibe (it's a good thing). -The menu has a good selection of pizza styles and other items, yet it's not complex. -We ordered a large Carnivore Pizza along with some of their bone in wings (honey Sriracha if I remember correctly). -we were seated and promptly received our order of wings. The wings were phenomenal. They weren't undercooked like at other places. Even though the wings had sauce, you could still feel the crisp on the skin as you bit into them. Safe to say they were well done but not overcooked. (Perfect) -The pizza was brought to the table almost immediately after we received the wings. Just by looking at it, we knew the pizza was gonna be just as good as it looked. The crust had a golden texture along with a few burn bubbles, the meats had a crispy rim surrounding the edges. The cheese consistency looked like it was just enough cheese (not too much, not too little), and when we picked up a slice, the pizza didn't flop! It had a nice rigid structure. The undercarriage was crusty and crunchy while maintaining the same texture throughout the crust. When you bit into it, the toppings didn't slide off all over the place, and there was a nice and subtle crunch! The pie itself was a bit larger than your typical large pie at a franchise place. One thing I recommend if you're taking the pizza home is to reheat it in an air fryer at 375 degrees for 5 minutes. It'll come out just a bit crunchier but will still taste as if it was fresh. If you heat it in a microwave, you'll have soggy crust and a chewy pizza.
Overall, this hole in the wall pizza place was a hit! We will definitely be going back after every wheeling trip. This review may seem long, but if you love pizza the way I do, you'll understand that a pie has to have certain characteristics to qualify as a true, made with a...
Read moreTerrible customer service from the new owners extremely rude and unprofessional. I ordered from them, and there was a mix-up with the wings. I asked for boneless wings and was given bone in. I called and asked if I could exchange them and assured them that I hadn't opened them yet. They told me, yes, I would have to drive back, and they would exchange them. I showed up, and the owner kept telling me no, he didn't mess up anything and told me he wouldn't exchange them because it would be too expensive to replace, and there was no way he could have messed up. Then someone from the kitchen area came out, who I'm assuming is his wife. They both started raising their voices. I got fed up with it, and I ended up buying a new order so they could stop. While I was there, they kept on trying to come over to give me free stuff like a cookie. I refused because, at this point, I was over it and just wanted to get my stuff and go. Then, when I got home, I realized that not only were the wings wrong, but he had also not given me the drink he had charged me for. I hope these new owners don't ruin Valley Pizza's reputation because it's a good restaurant, but if they act like this when they mess up an order, then I doubt I'll be the only customer they will...
