Unfortunately there were a lot of problems with this place that were FIXABLE! We came in on a Saturday night and the first red flag was it was about 7pm and the place was about 25% full. A bunch of bored servers. So why was it so empty? That brings me to my next few points. 1)I ordered a lime margarita on the rocks. First thing I noticed was the glass was super heavy but the drink was 100% watered down with hardly any flavor. It was pretty though and had a light in it, but that doesn't matter when there is no flavor. 2) Next thing I noticed was there were no prices on the drink menu next to the drinks. Makes me think they're trying to hide it. 3) Speaking of no prices, there were no prices on many of their menu items, like items with beef and guacamole. Just said Market. This is not a fancy restaurant. They need to list their prices. 4) Prices were too high for what I got, BTW. 5) Salsa was mid. Chips were warm and very mildly stale but not salted. Salted would have been nice. 6). I ordered a shirmp dish - Cardones Vampirose I believe. The shrimp was cooked perfectly, but there was no flavor to the shrimp or onions, just a little spice. The rice was so bland I had to add salsa to eat it. The avocado salad was bitter and just no flavor. The tortillas were decent. My partner got chimichanga which was fried but then they put an orange sauce on it that while good, my partner said it made his dish soggy. He also got the bitter salad. He got beans and they were also mid. PLUS SIDE: Decent service. They cleared our plates and the salsa came as soon as we sat down. They had a lady offer to make guac in front of the table, but since it said Market price, we weren't willing to take the risk, LOL. The drink was pretty. The atmosphere was like a mexican sports bar, whatever that is. We got a booth, which was comfortable and more intimate that a table in the middle of the restaurant. OVERALL, I think they need to greatly improve their food and drink quality and publish prices. Also, the food was overpriced in general, especially...
Read moreI am really upset. And I will not be going back for a while because they obviously do not need my business and I will find other local places that treat people like people.
The Manager this evening was to worst I have experienced in a while-- very like it is not our problem it is yours --- I had ordered 6 Mexican Street Tacos ($40 ) and was presented that cooked the other type of steak tacos they had. I told them that my order was not correct- and then asked for what I actually wanted ----he told the best that could do is have me pay for food again --- so I could get what I really wanted which ended up be another $40. This was not accommodating at all. I am beyond upset about because their food normally pretty okay.....
It is worth noting this is also the fault of @doorsdash
DONT ORDER USING DOORDASH "store front" at this restaurant as this will happen to you...
As the systems are not lined up and will end up paying for the system error because it is no one fault but yours for using it😣
He simply told me to call Doordash even though I was standing in the restaurant with him.
The worst part was that I tried ordering a head by calling but they did not answer. I did NOT even know I was using Door Dash because it was called storefront --- so I thought I was ordering from...
Read moreDon’t cater food from this place. I placed a catering order that I paid $350 for…as I’m checking out I ask the catering manager for plates and plastic ware and was told I can go to Dollar General to purchase plates and plastic ware. I kindly asked the catering manager for to-go boxes if he didn’t have paper plates, and he said he would have to charge me $1.50 for each to go box.
When I unpack the food at it’s final destination, I learn there are no serving spoons to put the food on the plates we weren’t given. So now I have no plates, no plastic ware, and no serving spoons for $350 worth of food.
This place isn’t prepared to offer catering services. I’ve never paid $350 and been told to go to dollar general to buy plates and spoons. The catering manager then advised me that any restaurant in town that I cater from would require me to purchase plates separately, which is completely false seeing that I cater lunches 2-3 times a week.
I let the catering manager know that if he can’t provide me with plates for my catering order that it would be nice to mention that when I placed the order a couple of days before, instead of when I’m about to pay for the food.
Food is not bad, but catering service is not ready to be used. Don’t waste your time here unless...
