We woke up early yesterday and decided to kick off our 33rd Wedding Anniversary here for Breakfast...I even wore a dress for the first time in Forever. We arrived a little after 7am and were taken to a booth on the left side. I noticed (1) the bench was covered in crumbs, but as she had walked off, I brushed them off and sat down. We ordered 2 coffees when she came back and, though the creamer bowl was full, (2) there were no Hazelnut so hubby had to go find her to ask for some. We ordered our food and I when my 1/2 size BLT sandwich arrived, there was (3) no mayo on it and as I moved the Clump of bacon out to fill the sandwich it was (4) Ice Cold...not "sitting out room temperature" cold but "Just out of the Ice Box" Cold! I told her, she took it away, then returned a few moments later. The bacon was Warm but the Grease wasn't hot and and (5) the Bacon was Limp. When I told her, she asked me 3 times "but it's warm, right"? I told her it was Obviously put in a Microwave and she said "No, he took this out of the Frying Pan". I picked it up in Front of her again (no hot grease) and Showed her it was Limp. (6) No Apology, she Just Walked Off. I choked down about 2/3 of my rubbery bacon 1/2 sandwich then turned to my 1/2 salad...(7) the bowl itself--usually filled level--was Only 1/2 Full!! Are You Kidding Me?? I never touched the salad, just snapped a picture (see attached) and asked for a togo container. We Usually have good Experiences at the Fuquay Varina and Garner locations...this was Extremely Surprising and as we were Trying to Celebrate a Special Day for us, this was also Extremely Disappointing on All Levels. I didn't Feel like going through the Drama of Asking for Management, (8) nor were they Offered. I Truly felt like we were Ripped off by being Presented the Full Bill for a Substandard Meal and as a former waitress in my Earlier Years, this was the First Time in a Very Long Time I left a restaurant without Leaving any Type of tip...It Felt Deserved and Earned. If you Value Incompetent Service and Low Quality at a High Price then This Evidently is the Place for You...We Like to get Value for Our Money so We Won't be Coming back Here. UPDATE: Per Your Response you "will make sure on [our] NEXT VISIT [your] service will meet [our] expectations."?? I Clearly Stated that we Will NOT BE Returning to Your Location; Obviously you Folks pay as Little Attention to Details...
Read moreThis review is for the encounter I had at the Eggs Up Grill at 4216 Lassiter Rd., Holly Springs, NC 27540 on Sunday, June 8th at approximately 6:05 AM. They'd just opened for business or in my case non-business. I was immediately stimulated to leave. Oh, well! You arrived drunk!! Ahh, no. Well, then you cussed out the employees and the one other patron of the establishment that was there first thing! Ahhh, no, again. No??
As I had many, many times before, I presented with a pair of empty beverage cups--specifically, a 20 oz Yeti Rambler cup and a 30 oz Stanly Quencher cup--which historically upon leaving the wait staff was kind enough to sell me coffee to put in the Yeti and put ice into the Quencher cup.
I was told in no uncertain terms that my beverage cups could not be inside the restaurant concurrently with me. That?! That's the reason for the bum's rush?! YEP. I instantly concluded that remaining would be tantamount to being peed on and told..."it's raining!" Even as hard a sell as me gets it. Eggs Up Grill in Holly Springs at the aforementioned address will not prepare me groceries and I will not leave the $23 to $26 that I've been leaving most Sundays for quite a long time.
I've no complaint with Emily, Kaitlyn, Douglas, Katie--any of those whose names I can remember and those I can't. In the past, they've been nothing but kind to me. Fortunately, the Eggs Up Grill in Fuquay-Varina, NC has, thus far, not lost its business mind, but I'll be watching and waiting. Whatever Holly Springs has might be catching, especially if they're similarly managed.
So, for those folks that are kind enough to read my review through to the end, still attend the Eggs Up Grill in Holly Springs and encounter something asinine? I was...
Read moreI would like to first say that I’ve not had one bad experience here until today. My family and I have been coming here for years since they opened. We always use the online waitlist and have never had issues until today. The first time we used the waitlist, we were removed - which was fine because we were totally running behind! However, I joined a second time and as we were in the car we received a text that our table was ready. I figured no big deal as we were almost there. No where on the text does it give an indication that we can respond. I assumed the texts were automated. We pull in and I come in and speak to the host working with the iPad and told her our name. She turns to the African American lady with curly hair and she yells very firmly that we have been removed, that we were sent a text twice and then removed. She asked if we wanted to be added again and I did not know what to say so I told my mother what was going on. After I went to the car, she went inside and asked what the issue was because we have never had this issue before and the same lady pretty much barked the same thing she told and that we didn’t answer the text, again I did not know we could or were supposed to answer. This lady was straight up rude to me and my mother. I was not in the store when my mother went in, but I’m sure she was firm because I hate confrontation and did not want to argue with this lady. Having normal, not even good, customer service should be standard. Last thing, I’ve read some of the reviews and I’m sure the owner will watch the camera footage, send a passive aggressive response to this review. So when that...
