In all the years in the area I never knew this place existed. The service was great. It is a tiny place and the food was good. Here is the downside, the nacho chips. They were Gordon food nacho chips, definitely not homemade. I get it they are small and can’t make fresh chips but I often judge a mex restaurant just by the chips and if I did I would not return. On a positive note the salsa was good. I had a chicken burrito and it was great. I will return but will pass on the nacho chips.

My new go to place for a great burrito! Being initially from chicagoland we had burrito places to chose on every block corner. I occasionally crave a burrito and don’t feel like making it myself. I found this place through an online search. We both got steak burritos and agreed that they are worth the drive for us. Rice and beans were great too. Also like the fact you can dine in since we have about a 20 min drive. We will be trying more items for sure….see you soon Maruca’s!

While it is small it is wonderful! I am ashamed to say this was my first visit, but Maria waited on me and we had a wonderful conversation. I was simply getting the $6 taco deal on a Taco Tuesday! They were quite yummy ...had the chicken. And chips and salsa. She even gifted me with a delicious carrot cupcake. I will definitely be going back to try all of the other wonderful items they have on their menu.

Had them the first day they opened but I wanted to wait to rate them because, it was their first day ever opening. Excited to finally have Mexican in Holly, MI. It was ok. I wasn't going to recommend them yet. Give them some time. They have now been open well over a year, and thru a pandemic. I know alot of people love them, I hear good things so thought I'd try again. Had them again yesterday. They improved the portions.....take- out, had chicken tacos thought they were flavorless.... maybe a hint of flavor, but dry side. I love onions and cilantro, Couldn't taste the cilantro and couldn't get past the dry chicken. I stopped after 1. I didn't even touch the beef taco. So no, I'm not recommending. My friend, she had the beef tacos, and she said she liked it. I also saw her load it up with LOTS of sour cream after 1 bite.... She said she would eat there again. That's why I'm rating it...

Last night I dreamt for the first time in years. I was a traveler, riding throughout the Mexican deserts from the coasts of Tijuana to the shores of the Yucatán, all the while sampling every burrito, taco and fajita that I crossed paths with. Thousands, nay, millions of the most authentic Mexican dishes traversed my palate in this cascading reverie of cuisine. And yet, I awoke disappointed, for in this dream even the finest of the foods that touched my tongue paled in comparison to the glorious orchestra of flavor conducted by Maruca. The first bite is a symphony, taking you to the highest heights. The rest of the meal takes you on an enchanting journey of satisfaction, and when you reach the final bite, the tears begin to swell. But when you’re at your lowest low, remember this one comfort: Maruca’s kitchen will be open...

SUPER unassuming place. In a strip of stores—pay close attention, or you might miss a real gem of a place!! First time we’ve been—we will for SURE be back! Simple ingredients, prepared masterfully! Fast and friendly service. The food was delish! I had the ground beef street tacos and my boyfriend had the steak street tacos. The flavor on both meats-incredible. The corn tortillas-soft and chewy. Rice and beans were super flavorful. The perfect tacos. We had guac, chips and salsa too. All of it tasted authentic-nothing canned or jarred. Meat tasted like it had been simmered all day-such delicious flavor. Everything was fantastic. From the minute you came in the door-friendly, and fast service. Great food. Can’t wait to try more things...
