Five Guys — Restaurant in Hollymead

I got a BLT with cheese, but by the time I thought about taking a picture of it, I only had 3-4 bites left, lol. To some degree, that should tell you that it was good. Their bacon is a bit on the crispy side, so be prepared for that. I don’t usually like bacon that’s on the crispy side – despite that, I give the sandwich an 8 out of 10. I’d also say you should eat it while it’s fresh and not wait until later or warm it up (I did all of that, so that’s why I can offer that advice). We also ordered 2 large fries – regular and Cajun (Note: It doesn’t say Cajun on the pictured receipt because we forgot to say that at first, but about 3 minutes later, we asked for Cajun for one of the large fries, and they said no problem, we will do that for you). BOTH types of fries were REALLY good! My husband gives the Cajun fries an 8.5-9.5 out of 10, and our younger son and I give an 8 out of 10 for the regular fries. An important point to remember about the fries: you get a large cup with fries in it (please see the pictures), but then they put that cup into a paper bag, and add more fries to it! So that’s pretty cool for sure. 😊 My husband got a bacon cheeseburger (2 burger patties) with extra onions and everything on it except jalapenos. My younger son got what they call a little cheeseburger (1 burger patty) with only ketchup and lettuce (he’s a picky eater who watches his weight). And like they say, you can eat free peanuts (they are IN their shells, so you must peel them) while waiting for your order. I feel like our order took around 6-8 minutes (although I didn’t time it exactly, it felt quicker than I was expecting), so that felt like a good thing for eating fresh-made food. Also note that my pictures may not do justice to Five Guys. Sometimes pictures can’t really show you how good food is (and I truly promise you; I’m not just saying that). After eating food from here for the first time, my family and I agreed that we definitely want food from here AGAIN!!! The fries cooked in peanut oil are delectable (and still taste really good re-heated in an air fryer!!!); the BLT with cheese had a perfect amount of bacon; my husband really enjoyed his bacon cheeseburger (including when he re-heated some of it in the air fryer!!!), and our younger son said his little cheeseburger tasted really good no matter what he did to it (Note: He heated part of it up - one part in the air fryer and one part in the microwave!) So this first visit for all 4 of us was a success!! The pictures only show the 2 burgers and the 2 kinds of fries. No, they don’t have a drive-through, but you can order online in advance, so you don’t have to wait as long for your food. Also, the place looks very clean, and has those Coca-Cola Freestyle machines where you can combine different flavors to make your own perfect drink. And there’s plenty of free parking. The Charlottesville VA location is supposed to be open from 11 am to 9 pm ET every day. They deliver from 11 am to 8:30 pm ET. Overall, I do definitely recommend this place. Just remember because the food is fresh cooked to order, it will likely taste best if you eat it there in the restaurant right after it’s cooked. But if you have an air fryer, then you can warm up the food and it will still taste pretty good. If you must use the microwave to warm up your leftovers, then it’s definitely not going to taste as good as it does fresh or warmed up in...

Very poor customer service at around 9:21pm on 04/06/18. When I first approached the counter to order there was an older gentleman with grashish hair who continued to talk to customers who were leaving the store to the right.The customers had to end the conversation before he walked over to the left to the other side of the counter to take my order and my wife’s order..We ordered hamburgers with no cheese and saw them make cheese burgers..He handed me the bag after he wrapped them.When I addressed it with the older gentleman I asked him “ do these have cheese on them?” He looked me in my eyes and lied and said “no.” I said again “ are you sure?” He said “no”, but proceeded to take the burgers out and look at them and found that they had cheese on them.He was the one who wrapped the burgers up he knew they had cheese on them but lied to me anyway.At that point he offered to make our orders again but my wife and I had waited for at least 10-15 mins so we just took them and left.i will not be eating at this...

The food was great but it took two tries to get the burgers topped the way we stated when ordering. And yes the receipt was correct. All they had to do was read it.

One star is for that we my husband, my granddaughter (2 yrs) and me stopped on our way back from a spine injection. I could hardly walk on my left leg - a real danger of falling. I was also using a cane. My husband took our granddaughter to the car while I waited for him to pull the car around (because of my Difficulty walking). The counter person told me I should go back and clear the table As I was leaning on the cane and holding onto the door. I stated my Husband was planning on doing that as soon as he came back and I could not walk. What about I was having trouble walking wasn’t obvious?

I’m a bit bent as it was embarrassingly clear to everyone there that I couldn’t walk and had to hold onto the counters, etc even with a cane.
