8/9/2022 - They are still running the lawn sprinklers during business hours. Pull out with a clean car and immediately drive through a wall of hard sprinkler water that dries spotty.

Charlottesville finally has a car wash that actually uses brushes to clean the dirt off of your car! What a novel idea! As you can probably tell, I don't hold touchless car washes in very high esteem, so I'm very happy that these washes are here now.

I would suggest two things:

First, in these same style car washes out west, they put one or two people at the very front of the car wash with brushes and their job is to scrub the bug guts off of the front of your car before you go through. Considering that there's twice as many bugs in Virginia as there are in the dusty deserts of the western US, I think that would be a good addition.

Second, I've gone through the car wash twice now, and driven right into a wall of sprinkler water from the grass sprinklers at the exit. It would make a lot more sense to water the grass during the off hours of the business than to douse freshly cleaned cars with hard sprinkler water that dries with hard water spots.

I went for a car wash to once again, try to remove built up tree sap that has been on my car for months. The car wash did not remove it. Yet, as I was vacuuming my car, Juwan came out to inspect the wash and noticed the stains on my car. He then proceeded to ask the advice of his co-workers, and with the help of Kevin and Jake, they provided these amazing car wash wipes (free of charge)! to help remove the built- up sap (which worked)! They were extremely knowledgeable on how to remove this dried tree sap and were sincerely concerned on helping me get my car cleaned. They even allowed me a second car wash for free once we utilized the car wipes. I was so impressed with the level of knowledge and customer service. Canceling my membership for two reasons: number one - The Forest Lakes location water smell is horrific. It’s been like this for quite some time and I have patiently waited for it to get better but it isn’t. For $40 a month I can’t justify sitting in this putrid smell every week nor do I want my car “cleaned” with this water. And secondly, the new staff at this location is a major decline compared to when this spot was with the previous owners. The staff could not be less interested that you are here. During my last visit, the employee was literally looking at their phone while simultaneously motioning for me to pull in the car wash tracks and barely looked up at me.
