Food was okay for the most part. Granted we got there around 8:30pm and the place closed at 10pm. It was my first time going and would absolutely not recommend this specific loaction to any of my friends or family again. We flew from out of state to see family and this place was on our bucket list since none of us have seen a Texas Roadhouse where we live. The host came off as rude, server was slow to bring our orders and did so in a way that felt out of order? (why would you bring appetizers before the waters/drinks and on top of that take so long to do refills). I can understand that by the time we got our food and started eating that all the other workers around us needed to do their closing duties, but it feels like basic common courtesy to at least wait for the guests at a booth to leave before cleaning directly around a booth and at the next booth over, especially if the cleaning requires one to remove the entire seat (it feels good to know that the cleaning is very thorough though with the way that lady was cleaning that booth down, but the cleaning motion had her knocking on the back of our seats). Also other people working there should be mindful of the type of conversations that they're having around guests. Overall my biggest gripe honestly was with our server. He wore sunglasses indoors? That isn't bad but it felt like we were being ignored (not daylight hours outside/felt like he was hiding his face for a reason), not sure if it's still common to introduce yourself to a guest, as a guest's server which he didn't do [his name is José; found that out after having to look below the waistline for a nametag], and taking forever to give us service is really what ruined it mainly for my family and I. On top of that he was making small talk with his coworkers, other guests and disappearing for what felt like long periods of time. I'm sure other locations are much better. The atmosphere was okay, not great or...
Read moreWe usually love Texas Road House but the one in Charlottesville is not good. We have been there and the entries come out before the appetizers. But last night will be my last time there in Charlottesville TRH. The peach sweet tea was horrible. Not drinkable. It was like drinking honey. We got or appetizers and drinks then didn't see our waitress for an hour. I stopped another waitress and asked for 3 cokes. Our waitress showed back up with refills of that undrinkable honey garbage. We said we asked for cokes because it wasn't drinkable. She then went into a what was she gonna do with what she brought. And blamed a large party for her not being around. We got our cokes and then 20 minutes later told our meals would be out. 50 minutes later she and the manager came and apologized for our meals being delayed. They blamed it on some paper they ran out of. However I saw bone in ribeyes and steaks going by. Our waitress was too busy to get our food it sat under the lamps until they couldn't give it. When our orders came they were cooked wrong. All our meals were rare. We boxed them to go. They didn't adjust the bill and not charge for the undrinkable crap. It was my birthday and it was a mistake to go there.
Went there again on Jan 25 2025 Again issues with getting service. I ordered a prime rib. 10 minutes later I'm told it won't be ready for 30 minutes. So I order the steak salad. When we 1st ordered we told the waitress no bacon due to allergies. The salad comes out covered in bacon. Back it goes. I got my salad after my party finished their meals. And I saw prime ribs go by. Got my salad and asked for a to go box since everyone was finished and i was full from...
Read moreAllow me to paint you a picture... We arrive in a party of 4, there's no wait, we get seated immediately in the bar area. We ask for 3 waters and 1 sweet tea. Another party gets seated in the booth next to us. It's impossible for our waitress to get to their table without passing ours. It's 6:10pm.
The other party then proceeds to have their drink and food order taken while we sit and twiddle our thumbs. Their food comes out before we've even had the chance to order appetizers. Our waitress continues to ignore us.
We finally order our food. We wait. We continue to wait. The party next to us has now finished their food and our waitress has brought them their check. It's 7:15 and we still haven't received our food. I ask as she walks by, ignoring us, "Do you know when our food will be out?" She says "let me check on that for you". Our food then comes out immediately, which means it had been sitting there waiting. Everything was cold. The burgers were dry. The fries were limp. The country fried steak had white glue instead of gravy. No one at our table could stomach finishing our food. She came by and asked "Is there anything else I can get you?" and then walked away before I had the chance to say "BBQ sauce please". We asked for a check and left. It's 7:30.
If that sounds like a fun night out, I encourage you to visit this Texas Roadhouse. If you value your time/money/tastebuds/sanity, I would suggest maybe going to McDonalds instead, as their food is vastly superior to the garbage that was served to us, and you won't be disrespected nearly as hard.
I had never been to Texas Roadhouse before and was going on the recommendations of other people, but I can confidently say I will never go...
