KFC — Restaurant in Hollywood

July 3rd, 2016 - My family and I stopped in for lunch. We were in the area to pick up something we just purchased. First, I was not impressed with the appearance of this place but we were extremely hungry and our stomachs overruled our first instinct, which was to walk out. At first we saw a couple of flies which is unusual for fast food, usually there isn't any but the window at the drive thru was opened so at first I dismissed that. Then we ordered our food, which at best was mediocre. As we sat in the dinning area eating it seemed a bit warm so my husband went to ask about the AC and was told by the gentleman at the register that the AC was broken and the 'owner' didn't want to spend the money to fix it. So, as we sat there with our two children (15 and 10) and our 7 month old grandson eating our food my husband was sweating and our grandson was red all over (I went and soaked one of his bibs in water to help cool him down) and we were literally cramming our food down so we could get back to our vehicle with AC. Our children kept complaining about all the flies.

I will be reporting this establishment to OSHA. Something needs to happen to push the owner's hand to fix the AC. I am not an expert in food sanitation but would bet the establishment breaks many rules.

I wouldn't have even given them one star but they didn't have any other option. My suggestion STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE UNTIL THE OWNER DECIDES TO RUN A REPUTABLE ESTABLISHMENT.

After reading some of the other reviews, I am just praying that none of us gets sick from this place.

Poor service. Flies all over the place. Wings and mashed potato are dry. Cause they've say there too long . The only reason I was going there was because its closest location to me. On 11/2 i was at their drive through order some $5 fill ups. When I get my order there is no biscuit inside so I ask the cashier and manager come to the window. I explain what happened to the manager. She replied" I know for a fact that my employee gave you the biscuit" " you must've took it out from the box and hid it" I mean WHAT?? Can you believe that? Who talks to their customers like that and yes they did. That was what she said to me quote to quote. Accusing customers of stealing? I said to her you can check the camera and you can come to the car to check if there is any biscuit. She said " I don't need to do that". I was soooo upset and said I think I will be filing a complain with the cooperate. She simply replied" I don't care" soooo impressed with the bad customer service they provided. And guess what I did file a complain with the corporate and they are investigating the case. I will also be filing complain with BBB and any other associations and agencies possible for their customer service issues as well as sanitation issues. STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION. After the closing of several KFC Buffett style restaurants in the South Florida area, this KFC appears to be among the last buffetts, if not the last buffett, in South Florida.

And if that is so, then this restaurant has the exceptional opportunity to rise to the top with virtually no competition to offer stellar food and service.

Unfortunately that is not the case here. The food on the buffett was, first, visually unappealing with some of the side items being a "guess what this is" mystery.

Moving beyond what it looked like to what did it taste like...again disappointment just showed up. The food was cold, the mashed potatoes were subpar, the gravy was thin and watery and the mystery dish was just terrible, whatever it was.

Granted we were there a full 2 hours before the buffett was scheduled to close but it appeared that it had closed much earlier gauging by the food presented.

Overall, this was not a favorable first impression but, at least the chicken, which given to us from the warmer behind the cashier, and the coleslaw were up to the Colonel's standards.

This was a terrible, missed opportunity by the staff and management in my opinion. They are going to have to do better or they could be the last KFC...closed by popular...
