This was my first time at this restaurant and I went with a friend of mine. Upon entering My friend commented on the smell of the place. She said that it smelled rotten to her. I disagreed and thought it smelled old. We decided to stay and give it a try. We definitely noticed that the wait staff were really immature and not the standard you would expect at a restaurant, but they were mildly attentive, but asked if we were okay as they were walking by our table. We started off with the Fried Calamari and the Seafood Fried Rice. The calamari was just okay, didn't have enough tenderness, but the breading was light. The shrimp fried rice was definitely americanized with not enough Asian flavors and too much oil. Not surprised since this isn't an Asian Restaurant. Some of the pieces in the rice were hard. Not sure if it as from overcooking or it was old rice. We decided on two different seafood boils, each with 1/2 lb of shrimp and snow legs (my friend added 1/2lb of clams). Each came with two potatoes, a piece of corn, and sausage. However, hers was supposed to come with no sausage and boiled eggs. Well let's just say the order was not correct in multiple ways. I only received a 3-4 pieces of sausage, about 1/2 inch rounds. My friend asked for no sausage which they assured her she could do, but she still got sausage. She had to pick them out and she got a lot more sausage than me. We each only got one cluster of Snow crab legs and that seemed incorrect for 1/2lb. Not sure if they were just counting the items instead of weighing them, but it seemed a little light as we opened the bag and started eating. In the end, it felt like getting short-changed especially for the price. The flavor was good and they used fresh garlic in their seasoning. Overall, the experience was just okay, but given the other places in the area where I could get much better quality calamari, seafood boils, and fried rice. I won't...
Read moreOk. I have to review this, bc I owe my followers the truth! I’m a secret shopper and will not get paid for this review (disclaimer).
Great food, especially the gumbo..yummm! Also, those crab ragoons are bar none ok?
But, nowadays I consult everyone should itemized receipts and check for imposed fees? I called in and added a tip to order on the call, there was no open bar fee.
But I realized the tip goes to owners when you call in and add tip there? But, if you choose the no tip option, they imposed a $8.50 open bar fee?? Of course, I opposed? Left those ragoons in protest right there! Drove 30 minutes in traffic to get them. I was upset, but determined right?
So, I learned to go there, place order there, tip there (staff get point of sale tips) to avoid fees? Not saying that was the best reaction, so I figured it out, went back and left a generous tip. 🪼Young lady at counter was delightful too.
Great service, DJ playlist music, delicious food ( but please change the batter in fish—it’s too salty but I eat it anyway cold bc it’s sooo good?) plenty of space, immaculate bathroom always? Immaculate. The best spot in seafood for this area I truly believe. So of course, I keep going. After my visit and this review, I’m sure it will crowd out soon. Absolutely recommend Mr. Q’s to everyone ♥️🎫

Criticism is not kryptonite a true business owner uses the feedback to make things better. Its like having a mystery shopper for free. The prices was good, the place was clean our server was very polite but the food is a complete and utter disaster from my experience. They need to add more beverages they had limited types only sodas no juices. They need to hire a CHEF. The owners feedback made it seem like I could not be pleased. They didn't even know when I went there cause I post my feedback long after visit to places. I told the server it was terrible too. For years I sent you foodies to the best places to eat what I got from here I would never even give it to my dog. Garbage food, like total trash, bad presentation. Gthoh and go fix...
