As I wait for Tropical Storm Nicole to hit South Florida...I decided to go for a drive to relieve my boredom.
Eventually, I started to get a little hungry.
I really didn't want McDonald's, I didn't want Burger King. However, I thought, Wendy's might not be a bad option.
I never had any issues with Wendy's when I lived in Canada.
The inclement weather was keeping Wendy's from being too busy I'm assuming.
I decided to order the pretzel pub chicken combo.
I drove through the drive-thru, and I got my food extremely quick. It was actually too quick, there was no cars in the line up. I knew I would get my food quick, but less than 60 seconds that's a little too quick.
I pulled into the parking lot so I could eat my food.
I always eat my French fries first, it's just what I always do.
The french fries tasted like they were bathed in salt, and they were not fresh, they were at best, lukewarm.
I was like okay, I guess I can live with that.
I decided I would eat my pretzel pub chicken sandwich.
Ignore the fact, that these french fries were nowhere near as good as the french fries that I used to get at Wendy's; when I lived in Canadađ¨đŚ.
When I opened the sandwich, it was obvious the sandwich was thrown together, the pickles weren't even inside the sandwich.
At this point, I'm now frustrated.
I decided to go back to the drive-thru and explain why I was not happy.
The drive-thru girl didn't really seem to care that I was frustrated with the quality of my food considering that the combo cost about $15.
I asked to speak to the on duty manager.
I asked her...Why would your employees be fine with giving a customer lukewarm french fries and a lukewarm pretzel pub chicken sandwich.
She asked if I would wait around for a fresh chicken sandwich to be made. I responded that I would wait, because I'm paying $15, I want my food to be fresh, I mean seriously.
During the convo I'm having with the manager, about the poor quality of the food, her employees are laughing in the background about the whole situation.
It took about 10 minutes for them to bring me my new meal.
They gave me a fresh order of fries which was upsized. The fries, were hot, fresh...but still way too much salt.
The chicken pretzel Pub sandwich... was really good. What an amazing concept to serve someone hot food.
I've eaten chicken sandwiches at KFC, McDonald's, Chick-fil-A and Burger King. Chick-fil-A to me still has the best chicken sandwich.
I would definitely think, lf you have a chicken pretzel Pub sandwich that is hot and fresh, you will quickly realize, it is far better than McDonald's, KFC or Burger King's chicken sandwich.
I don't tend to write negative reviews very often.
My Google reviews and my Yelp reviews are 99% positive.
It takes an awful lot for me to leave a negative review.
I felt like had to leave a review today, about everything I experienced at this Wendy's.
All of this could have been avoided by them simply giving me fresh food when I ordered it, not stale food, that had been sitting on the heat lamp for a very long time.
I won't go back. I'm not unreasonable wanting to have fresh food.
Disinterested employees and a cold manager are an ingredient for a disaster.
I don't care what your job is, do it to the best of your ability or don't do it at all.
Wendy's lost a customer, and based on the attitude of the employees and the manager, they don't give a...

But like all great things, they'll eventually come to an end. Every single time I go to this Wendy's the drive thru line is always long and your wait is literally 15-20 minutes. I used to think it was that people can't decide between chicken or burgers but no it's the staff taking there sweet time answering the drive thru. They will leave you there waiting and if you dare say anything like 'hello' you're instantly greeted with a rude sounding "WAIT" or "WHAT DO YOU WANT?". The best part is when you go to pay.. You're greeted by a guy whose more interested in his phone than working and stares at you like you got snakes crawling out of your eyes. Unfriendly and provides no receipt. Then when actually getting your food! They have one person basically doing everything while another employee was fighting with a customer saying "she was going to slap them". The food is 50% of the time cold, burnt, dried out or wrong. The best part is that when they do hire friendly hard working people.. They're gone in a week and the same problem staff is still there!! Do the managers or owners just not care or notice this? It's sad because this used to be a great fast food place to go to and now it's no better than all the other places. I can't review the inside because majority of the time...
Read moreThis Wendyâs is fairly new I understand that this hiring manager must be taking people off the streets because the service is HORRIBLE as soon as you get to the drive through to make a order they boy/girl had an attitude for reasons I am not aware of because I asked for my receipt they claimed to say they didnât not have receipts or bbq sauce for my nuggets all because I asked for my food to be fresh knew there was something shady doing because they refused to provide me with a receipt my meal was almost 20 dollars for nuggets cheeseburgers and a fries I never paid that much before I stood at the window asking for a respect they fiercely closed the door on my face I politely waited and wasnât rude with anyone if you donât like working donât work jobs are designed to stay running based off good customer service my advise to the manager here is to get rid of some employees if they donât value their job find people who will just because you work late shift doesnât give you the right to lie and deceive customers because your having a bad day or whatever the case may be had nothing to do with the customer I will never eat at his Wendyâs again and I will be reporting this to corporate for the 0* experienced received there was only one helpful person there the rest of the employees may need to go to school for good customer service or something minus the guy who was doing the ice and the cooks...
