Inaugural visit Thursday. Easy street parking....there weren't many cars compared to people inside so I get the vibe this is the neighborhood wearing hole... which adds charm. Welcoming, spacious digs....complete w all standard height tables! The bar has higher chairs. Looking at the bar I'd venture a guess it's made from barrels...cool concept. After I asked my beertender her name I continued to glance around... noticing a whiteboard w her name on it... thanks. It was posted below the tap room wifi Info... again, thanks, appreciate not having to flag down a staff to ask. Merch is displayed in the NE corner by the door out to restrooms. Look up....some cool light fixtures. I liked the hop mural on the north wall and the various silver 608 logos. The to-go cooler is in the SE corner....away from any seating so you don't have to work around anyone just to get your beer! Next to it is the snack options. Glancing around... I noticed a garage door and beyond that a picnic table or two outside. Good to know for the Summer months. Beertender Jo was friendly and helpful in building my flight. The prices are all listed but I felt a little gouged at the flight prices....even if it's a BIG beer $5 is a little steep for a 4 or 5oz pour. That was the only part of my experience that left a...no pun intended... bad taste in my mouth. Otherwise the prices seemed on point and I was appreciative that half pours are an option! The tap list is displayed on the tv's hanging behind the bar. The beer is Brewed at the La Crosse brewery and brought over which makes sense so the two locations are so close. This is a great little tap room w lots of big windows for natural light and it's cute how it's just nestled in to an unassuming...
Read moreThis place is awesome! Holmen had 0 bars/breweries/craft beer locations worth traveling for-now they do. The vibe is great, the beer is great, the location is great. If you want good beer, go to 608. The service is great and the beertenders are not only friendly, they’re personable. Check out the upstairs lounge for a different setting. Huge TVs everywhere, a patio, food trucks and on-site kitchen coming soon, 608 Brewing can’t miss! Long time caller, first time on-air: I very much enjoy good craft beer-trust me...
Read moreSo happy that there is a brewery in Holmen! The downstairs has a typical industrial brewery feel with comfortable seating. It does get a little loud if it's busy, so I would suggest going to the 2nd floor if that happens. It's a quieter, lounge vibe with unique decor. The seats were also super comfy. It looks like there will be an outdoor balcony upstairs ready soon. My favorite beer was the Cold Show, a cold...
