Wife and I went there 5/17/2025 because she has eaten there before. Her options are limited because of a gluten allergy and she thought I would like it. 999/1000 I would have but my first red flag was, when you pay for your food they ask for a tip. I was standing at a cash register to order my food. Then I learn that I have to go retrieve my food, and then bus my own table. I gave 20% because I thought I was going to be served. 2nd red flag was I specifically said french fries and I got tater tots. So, I paid 20% to go retrieve my food and what I ordered wasn't even right the first time. Sure they fixed it with a basket of fries ten minutes after I got my sandwich. 3rd red flag was the chicken bacon ranch was what I assume salt licks for a deer taste like. 4th red flag was the little children behind the counter. I'm sure 5 year olds understand sanitary environments and safe clean practices. (Sarcasm) When someone pays a tip for service they provide for themselves it would be wise to actually clean the tables they eat on. You should've just passed me a sanitized rag, I would've done it myself, since I gave a tip to provide...
Read moreStopped in to check the place out. It smelled delicious and I was happy to discover it is owned by my neighbors. I tried The Dude burger, which was simple and delicious with sauteed onions, cheese and tasty garlic mayo. The burger and fries were totally filling, with generous servings. I want to further explore the menu, but The Dude is so good, I haven't branched out yet. Everything is made to order so it isn't "fast" food, instead it is fresh and delicious. I think the garlic mayo would make a tasty dip for fries (haven't tried), but I know the house-made ranch is! The fries do have some tasty seasoning, FYI if you like them plain, as my kids do. I can't wait fir my next Food Dudes excursion. Thanks for the delicious option in Holmen! The only downer is limited indoor seating. But there isn't much they can do about that due to space limitations.
Oh, also I love how this local business alsi supports local business by getting meats from Holmen Locker and Meat Market! The...
Read moreWent here for the 1st time today. Ordered a California burger with American cheese, some fries, and a drink (carry out). The total was about $14 and change. The restaurant was not busy during my visit with only 2 people dining inside. It was roughly 15 minutes until I got called to get my order. The burger imagewise reminded me of a school lunch burger (unpleasant) . The burger tasted salty, and the patty seemed to be frozen (not fresh). The fries had some weird seasoning on it, which made them really salty. Definitely a unpleasant burger to have at the price. Definitely would not recommend it unless you like salty, dry burgers. Definitely...
