Dunkin' — Restaurant in Homewood

I have never NOT been disappointed in my visit here. Today was the fifth and final time. I don't think Dunkin' knows what it is as a company, and when that trickles down to the individual level, it results in a terrible experience. The cleanliness and organization of the store is suspect... but you can remain blissfully ignorant if you just go through the drive-thru. The donuts have been stale and dry, and the selection severely lacking (and always mislabeled). The menu screens glitched out and turned off while I was using them to order. The coffee is plainly terrible... calling iced coffee "cold brew" just because it makes more sales is terrible business practice, and I suspect this time they just took hot coffee and poured it on ice. It's time to remove this location and replace it with a mom and pop shop that cares about their product and...

One of the smaller Dunkins, it's attached to the Shell gas station. With that in mind it's a high traffic area with sub optimal parking and a tight drive thru.

That said the coffee is usually good and is placed to be a great coffee shop on the way to work. This would be great if they didn't have you wait and be forced to park if you order anything that isn't coffee. While the lines seem to move quickly it's mostly because they are rushing. I've gone through ordered a tuna melt and half of the time they forget the "melt". The last time I went there I paid for my order, they told me to pull up so they could bring it out, and I wait almost 10 minutes before someone comes to tell me they are all out of that particular sandwich.

Moral of the story, don't go there before work unless you're only getting coffee.

Had an extremely negative experience with one of the workers. I assume they were short staffed but she took my order at the end of the counter and signaled me over instead of speaking to me like a customer which was strange and she kept her headpiece on while trying to take my order and misheard everything I said but left her headset on. I ordered an iced caramel macchiato and she gave me an iced mocha macchiato and when I told her that I ordered a caramel macchiato she said “no, you ordered the mocha macchiato.” And I said well I wanted a caramel macchiato and she just stared at me and then I decided that I didn’t want to bother her anymore and just said it’s fine and she looked at and rolled her eyes and turned around.
