My girlfriend called and ordered food from here a few days ago because this restaurant was within walking distance of the hotel we are temporarily staying at (because we are, unfortunately without transportation at the moment). After ordering our food (which totaled $38.91), I started the almost 2 mile walk. Once arriving to the restaurant and telling "Maria" the name on my pick up order, I proceed to pay for our food with FIFTY DOLLARS in rolled quarters. The $50 was for the price of our food PLUS a $11.09 TIP for her because I was giving her the entire five rolls. Well, she informed me that they, El Chile, do not take US currency, apparently, in rolled quarters. On top of that, I truly believe this DEAD ASF restaurant is not fully what it appears to be, but more so a cover up for some other sort of operation, but that's just my opinion. And their food sucks from an experience my girlfriend had from tasting her mom's food from them the very next day after...
Read moreI came here around 0000 midnight, loud Mexican music plays, few people there having a good time. I ordered the Mole con Pollo, came with rice, beans and salad. The mole was very good and authentic and not spicy. The amount of food for price was very good and fair. The service was okay, nothing outstanding. Atmosphere was good, there are several pool tables available on the other half of the restaurant. Overall a good experience, I will be coming back to try out more things on the menu. ....Update 4/13/25.... I went again excited to get some good food, however i got overpriced Quesabirria tacos, 2 small tacos for 12$!!! Additionally the server held my card hostage until I tipped her. Personally, the first time was great, second time was awful. If the service and food was consistent, I'd risk going again. However, I will not recommend or return to this establishment. There are better places...
Read moreThis was by far the worst experience I have had since Covid-19! The food was horrible but the drinks were on point. My friend asked for our checks the waitress bought us one check totaling $118. My friend told here we were on separate checks. The waitress looked at us confused. My friend then stated we’re not lesbians—she replied “oh”! After surveying the restaurant we realized we were the only female couple there. Everyone else were males! No big deal we just wanted separate checks. The waitress returned 10 minutes later with our check written on a napkin now totaling $84! We had 6 tacos at the price of $3 each plus some queso which was $6. 2 double shots and 2 beers! No way this totals $118! After asking for an itemized receipt the waitress calls the manager who in turns tells her and the security guard we are okay to go! By Far The Worst...
