Peruvian here. I ordered pollo a la brasa with fries, salad, an extra portion of rice and anticuchos.
Anticuchos : 8/10 good flavor, really good. Some pieces were though to eat but they where delicious.
Rice : 9/10 i love rice, i know about rice and this rice was humble but tasty!! More garlic taste would be good.
Fries : 9/10 they just need a little more salt.
Pollo a la brasa : it breaks my heart but I feel that someone is sabotaging the pollo a la brasa here. The first time I found this restaurant the chicken was delicious, that was in January. Now the chicken has consistently a rubbery taste and the skin is kinda rubbery too. Itās also has a rubbery strong smell. Thatās NOT how Peruvian rotisserie chicken taste. And thatās not because they dont have the Ingredients. It must be some weird tweak in the seasoning, maybe the oven need to have some kind of service (Āæ?) but that rubbery smell/taste doesnāt come from just thin air.
I tried the rest of the plates like the green pasta THEYRE THE BOMB I just have that problem with the chicken. Itās sad that the only option of Peruvian rotisserie chicken in this part of Alabama itās so...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI quite enjoyed this place, but just had one issue. The staff were nice but there was only 2 for the entire restaurant, which was quite empty on a Thursday night. You are served a thing of tortilla chips and a spicy salsa.
I had a steak with white rice, over easy egg and guacamole. I loved the guacamole, it was seasoned perfectly and creamy. The over easy egg was done perfectly and the white rice was great! The steak could have been really good but I asked for medium and it was well done, so it was tough, the flavors were good though.
The paella valanceaga was pretty good! It's not a typical paella but a rice made and then added in meat like shrimp, squid, octopus, green mussels, and sausage. The rice had some spiciness to it that reminded me of a seafood seasoning, overall it was quite delicious!
As for the drinks I had the lime frozen margarita and it was delicous!
I definitely recommend trying this place out if you want to try some more of the authentic Latino and...

First time for me - Husband works on this side of town and eats here regularly. The restaurant is very clean and staff wears face masks for CoViD.
We were shown to our table and received a basket of chips and salsa when we ordered our drinks.
The menu is large, with many Peruvian/Latin inspired dishes. We chose to split the Papa Rellena con Polla, a mashed potato patty stuffed with seasoned chopped chicken and then deep fried - ($5). Absolutely delicious. Hot, crispy and not overly greasy. Will definitely order again.
For the entree, we chose Parrillada Latina, grilled steak, chicken, sausage, seasoned grilled vegetables, fried yuca, plantains, rice, & salad for 2 - ($24). It was served sizzling hot on a cast iron skillet. Wonderful presentation and plenty of food for the both of us. I highly recommend you...
