Normally I am the last person to write a review unless I have a really great experience. This however has been so far from that.
On Wednesday I called Batteries Plus Bulbs in an attempt to get more information on getting my screen repaired. My phone was perfectly operational I just had the inconvenience of a cracked screen and was looking to repair it before the new year. I asked them if they were busy due to the Holidays and was told that they weren't and if I could get my phone in that day they should be able to get it back to me in an hour or so.
I went online and made an appointment for 5:30 was at the store by 5:10 and then once I arrived was informed that it was going to take longer since they were "backed up" (however on the phone they told me no other phones were in store being repaired) no big deal, I handed my phone over and was told to come back at 7PM. So 7PM rolls around (mind you I had my 15 mo old with me so this was EXTRA GREAT), and they had not yet looked at my phone. I was told to wait another 15 minutes, 15 minutes pass and then I am informed that something is wrong with my phone and they need to keep it over night. FAST forward to the next day (Thursday) we call first thing in the AM, and they still haven't looked at it and the tech that could look at it wouldn't be in until 10:30. So we get a call after 10:30 that my phone needs to be sent out for repairs but not to worry since the shop is in town. FAST forward to today, (Friday) I just called and my phone JUST now made it to the other tech service and it is going to be another 2-3 days.
I wasn't annoyed before, however now I am now. I work in customer service, I understand that inconveniences happen. This however has been inexcusable at this point. I brought a perfectly functional phone in and now I wish I hadn't, the cracked screen was much more functional than not having a phone at all. I literally cannot effectively communicate with my work team, check work emails, or have access to a phone in the event of an emergency when my significant other is not present. This is a terrible feeling with a...
Read moreTook an accessory battery for my Mercedes that had a threaded screw-in type terminals. They sent me home with one with threaded terminals. Got home looked at the battery and noticed nowhere for my screws to screw in. So drove back to the shop for the second time, they said did you get the battery in a box I said no so they went and handed me a small plastic bag with two small threaded nuts and two small screws. Went back home and the threaded nuts did not match the threaded screws permanently attached to my battery leads. Went back to the store and requested my old battery back and a refund went to Advanced Auto Parts on Green Springs got the correct battery which had the correct threaded holes built in to the terminal. Battery Plus personnel didn’t bother or were ignorant to let me know they didn’t have the right battery for me. Beware! Sales first….satisfaction is...
Read moreBrandon was awesome. I got four house batteries for my motorhome at a store in Connecticut a year ago. I guess you are supposed to check the water level at least twice a year but that’s a real pain in the neck because I would have to take some of the wires off to get the caps off and I’m freaked out by electricity. So I put it off forever. It was on my mind for a long time. Yesterday my inverter started shutting off and I didn’t want to lose all the food in my refrigerator so I thought it was the batteries but Brandon spent half an hour taking all the cables off and filling the batteries with water and then testing them to make sure that they were still good. Now I know that they were not the problem and I can cross that thing off my list. I’m very...
