I use to always shop here 6-8 months ago before I started going 5 extra mins and started shopping at Hometown Supermarket. I recently came to the store to get a few items but left the store before purchasing anything. First of all I was at the produce section and saw some of their vegtables rotten. I told a lady with glasses about it but she didnt bother on getting out of her seat to check it out. Instead she just said “we will take care of it.” Not even interested in asking which produce were rotting away. Next, I saw alot of their items expired!! I know alot of people do not shop there for groceries but they should atleast take those items off the shelf!!! Also, i was getting some items from the seafood section when i noticed alot of their seafoods were old especially alot of the crabs!!! Dead crabs that smells like its been at the exact same spot for days!! Also their kitchen is nasty and unsanitary. Their restaurant food is good but as much msg that they use on their foods ill be surprised if they did not taste good. But if the customers ever saw their kitchen i doubt not as many people would eat there. They cook the dead and old seafoods in a NASTY kitchen and serve them to the customers. I mean i saw people without gloves on, talking loudly with sprinkles of spit coming from their mouth landing in the plates they were fixing. Gross!!!! Lastly, Customer service is horrible, only care about the money they pocket from each customer. Will not be shopping here even for one item. I prefer hometown supermarkets. 10x the variety of groceries, cleaner store, cheaper items and customer service is excellent. Last time i come...
Read moreThe only reason i gave them 2 stars is because the food is good. I went there on 28th july along with my 8 friends. We didnt make a reservation but we didnt mind waiting. We got our table after 30 minutes but no one showed up to get the order for 15 more minutes. After giving the order we got the soup but without bowls. When bowls came they were not enough for all of us. 3 of us had to wait another 10 minutes for the bowls. It took them 1.5 hours to straight things up. When we confronted the manager about this, instead of apologizing he started to give lame excuses. He started to blame it on us that we did not make a reservation. But there were plenty other people who did not make a reservation and they got seated just before us and by the time we got our soup they were already done eating and left. Easy way for the manager was to just apologize and we would’ve taken it easy. But instead he kept arguing for 10 minutes straight. After that we couldn’t take it anymore and we all started to leave. The manager didn’t even bother to stop us instead he was sounding completely OK with it. My friends agreed to go to this restaurant on my recommendation. I felt so guilty for spoiling their dinner. I have been a loyal customer since 2013. After giving them so much business no one deserved to be treated so unprofessionally. Never going there again. And btw. In any business the customer is always right. But the manager was so stubborn he never Accepted his mistake. Sorry to say but u lost business of 8 families as i dont think they will ever visit your...
Read moreFirst off i came in around 6pm and it was quiet and peaceful inside. I was seated right away and had a nice server take my order promptly. What i enjoy was just how quickly my food came, hot fresh and hot it was and of course how delicious it all was.
I ordered the basil beef and it did not disappoint. As well as the fried dumplings and they were great. The sauce that came with it was really good too. I have never seen a few of the dish options like basil chicken/beef so I figured I had to try it and it was great. It was so good I highly recommend trying it if you ever stop in here. Its different from all the normal things you see anywhere else (ie:orange chicken or general tso's, ect).
I also tried there sweet tea and I must say, maybe itz because I'm so far down south, but it sure tastes like southern tea. Probably the sweetest tea I've drank in a long time, or ever maybe. But it was still enjoyable. Just beware the amount of sugar in that.
On top of how great the food is here, this place even has a real Asian grocery store attached to it, and me being from out of state, I thoroughly enjoyed browsing just the amount of different kinds of beverages they had here. If I had the ability id have bought a lot more, and I mean it. But I couldn't so I settled for a few new ones I've never tried. Like the melon flavored ones.
All in all, if you travel a lot like me, and work state to state, I highly encourage you to give this place a try. Especially if you enjoy trying new things. If I ever visit this area again for work I'll be trying...
