This one deserves a no star for the way they treat customers. We used the app to order our food. Nothing too crazy, a combo and two sandwiches. Made the order 15 minutes prior to arrival. The app only allowed for parking in the mobile pick up location. There was only one car at drive thru and one car in the spot that they have you park in if they need more time to make your order. We pulled into the mobile pick up spot and entered the lot number as instructed. Patiently waited and fully visible to the drive up window staff. When an employee came out to give the other car their order they asked if we were waiting on a mobile order and of course we said "yes". 30 minutes go by and no one has brought out our order. When we went to check on the order we found the doors were locked and only the staffs children were inside at the tables. After walking around the entire building, I went up to drive thru and I told them we had been waiting for over 30 minutes asked for my food. Their response was that I would have to go through the drive thru to get it (why can't you hand it to me now?). At this point there were 4 cars lined up at drive thru. I asked for a refund because we wouldn't have time to eat the food before our event. They asked me to go to my car and bring my phone with the order info and I complied. They then said that the manager had to get it handled and to come inside. They promised the doors were unlocked. They were not. I knocked then basically banged on the door looking like a crazy person. The manager after already visibly speaking about me with the staff came to the door and asked if she could help me. I asked for my refund and she said it can only be done through app. This is true as long as the restaurant hasn't marked the order completed. I was basically informed that it was my fault that I didn't get my order because I should have driven around to drive thru after waiting that long. I don't understand that logic. The point of the app is so I don't have to wait and the point of mobile pickup spaces is so I don't go through drive thru. I asked if I could just get my food then. I was told that I would have to get in line at drive thru to pick it up. The order was marked completed but NEVER even started. Why use the app if I have to go through drive thru and wait for the order to be made just like I pulled up and ordered? Never going there and I'll leave it to Doordash to put up with this logic vacuum next time. Had a great experience (as always) at the downtown Arby's. Thank you Arby's. Fyi, had to call my credit card company to take care of the money that MacDonalds stole. I try not to complain because I know it's a hard job but all that had to be done was the simplest things either come clean and say they would work on my order immediately and get it out to me or hand me my order when I had to walk up (either time), or just refund me per my request. Bad manager that doesn't take responsibility. With a average of 3 star rating I see...
Read moreI have visited this McDonald's at least once a week for the past year. In almost every situation, we have had a fantastic experience. Tonight, I took my young son through the drive-thru for a quick Happy Meal.
Normally, we go inside and order from the kiosk or I use the mobile app with ZERO issues. Tonight I was faced with a woman who seemed to make it her primary mission to make my visit unpleasant.
If I order through the kiosk or app, extra condiments are free. This woman, only identified as "Manager Lisa" (when asked for her last name, she actually told me "Lisa Lisa") arbitrarily decided that I needed to pay $0.50 for extra nugget sauce. She explained that if I use the kiosk or app, condiments are free, however, if I order from an actual human, I must pay some sort of "convenience tax." This is the first time this has happened in at least a year. Most McD's employees are happy to put an extra sauce or two in a bag of nuggets.
Now. McDonalds, let me ask you... You sell a cheeseburger for ONE DOLLAR, yet you expect patrons to pay $0.50 for a tiny 1.5oz cup of nugget sauce? That speaks volumes about the quality of your beef, cheese, buns, and condiments that go on the $1 burger.
I must say that I am VERY disappointed in the service given by "Manager Lisa" in the drive-thru tonight and I will, in the future, drive an extra few miles to get the service McDonald's is supposed to be so famous for.
A quick edit: I tried calling the McDonald's SEVERAL times after this and NO ONE answered the phone there. A true indicator that the people working there, especially Managar "Lisa Lisa" does not care about the satisfaction of their customers.
And for the record, I paid for the extra sauces, even though I know they...
Read moreI had to stand in line for over 15 minutes and when I was finally able to place my order, the crew member was rude. I ordered the #2 (2 cheeseburgers meal) with a vanilla ice cream cone and he acted as if he didn't understand what I had said so, I repeated my order. When he finally added my meal order, I asked for the vanilla ice cream cone in which he responded, "our machine is broke." I told him what I had was fine and payed for my order. Not only was I then waiting 10 minutes for my order, but I was not given my cup until I got my food. While waiting, every customer around me was annoyed as well. One older women's food was left on the counter in which she asked the male crew member (the one taking orders) "How long has this been sitting here?" She asked about three times and was just completely ignored all three times. The customer standing behind me in line (waited 10 minutes as well) went in for only a mcflurry (he ordered 2, one for him and one for his young son) but of course the machine was "broken" so upon hearing that, the father was very aggravated and walked away telling the cashier "y'all should really put up a sign so people aren't waiting 10 minutes in line just to hear that." The cashier's response? "Ok" and went about his business. This is the absolute worst experience I have ever encountered. You would think after the long wait I had my food would at least be hot -- I had to heat it up in the microwave upon arriving home (I live 6...
