If I could have put zero stars, I would. I was so excited to try this place, my gf had told me not to bother because the things she's heard from others as well as knowing the owners. I ordered the "giant" Barbecue chicken pizza which was about the size of a medium dominos pizza maybe a tiny bit bigger. It costed $31.36 which what was not a big deal, obviously I was willing to pay for it. The part that was annoying was that they charged me twice for it. I proceeded to tell the cashier, he said he didn't. I showed him, he said it didn't work the first time he rang it in and he had to try it again. It definitely worked the first time because as you can see I paid twice. My bank account can tell you. I only got one pizza When I first arrived the employees were all gathered around my pizza looking at it, they had put mushrooms on it when I had specifically asked for none. My gf doesn't like them, which is an honest mistake, but they should have called me to inform me because as soon as I got there they said that they were making me another one. They said that they just put another one in without the mushrooms, which was nice that they were willing to fix it, but I didn't have time to wait another 25 minutes. To make things easier I just took the pizza with the mushrooms, she could just pick them off. After-all, the pizza was all around awful, there was chicken skin on it or fat, I'm not sure what it was. I picked it off and threw that away a lot of the chicken was pink and not fully cooked. It was loaded with mushrooms which I can't complain about that part too much because I had said it's fine when they said they would make another one. I just wasn't trying to wait around for another 25 mins. I'm not one to write these kind of reviews, but I'm honestly very annoyed that I was charged twice. The cashier said if you were charged twice keep the receipt and bring it back and maybe we can work something out. I had stuff I needed to do today it's Christmas and I don't have a lot of money in my account because of presents. I paid 62.72 for a tiny salmonella pizza that wasn't even cooked completely they are closed so I have to wait to figure this all out but should have been fixed on the spot when I had asked. like I said I don't write these ever but to much happened one thing I can say they weren't rude they were very polite but polite doesn't cook food right or charge me twice customer service was good other than that the cashier was bad because my money was taken twice when I had shown him my online statement he didn't believe it I definitely would not go back and would not recommend this place and will listen to my...

I was really excited to try this place and rode my bike 25 minutes to get here. When I arrived I was fortunate to get a table right in front of the absolutely outstanding live music which turned out to be the highlight of the night. I really liked how big the pizza was and how affordable it was for the size. It was absolutely loaded with toppings but was pretty short on cheese. I were extremely hungry and started eating it and thought that it was just a very crispy crust. I eventually flipped it over and realized that it had been over cooked and was burnt. The restaurant got extremely busy and our server and the other server did not check on my food. I pretty much finished the entire pizza and left one slice behind to show the server that I was not happy with it. When I notified the other server about the situation, he said he would let somebody know. He then came back and said the chef apologizes for it being burnt and they offered to make me another one to go. Unfortunately because inwss on my bicycle, I could not carry a pizza home. They offered to buy me desserts instead but unfortunately I was too full. But I did very much appreciate them trying to make amends. In the end they actually discounted my pizza so despite it being a little burnt on the bottom, they made things right in the end. I would have loved to try the pizza the way it was supposed to be cooked because as I said it was loaded with toppings and the...

It's a unique tasting pizza, old school, how pizza used to taste in Hawaii. Very friendly and neighborhood style service and menu. They actually tapped out of the hot ham and mushroom sandwich the night I went but pizza was a great plan B. Normally, I can finish a large thin crust but this large defeated my pride. Great place to go for a quick fix. Sandwiches are the bomb. You think its just a sandwich and you may not like it, but you become a believer. They're simple but comforting. I'm not a wings guy but tried them. Got the salt n pepper wings. Interestingly, they're prepared with a slight crust on them. Not bad at all. Worth a try!

7/24/22 Finally got to try the new location. Got the hot ham and mushroom and a small combo pizza. Nice cozy place with a decent sized bar and table seating. Happened to be busy with a private party but all good. Staff is very courteous, helpful, quick and friendly. If you've been to any Magoos then you already know the menu. It's a Paradise Beverage bar, so no AB products. It's quite understandable as they are a small business - part of the attraction though. Pierre, the bartender, is cool and so are the staff. Another great neighborhood option to relax and enjoy fir your quick...

Ngl Magoos has been around for a while. Back in college, they used to be near UH, towards my graduation they closed and became a food truck. Only recently I found out they had a physical locations in Kaimuki. I think i heard the owner's daughter runs it now...or a family member (something like that). Anyways, slightly different from before. I recall the pizza used to be more doughy and heavy on the toppings. Now it's not so heavy with a sturdy crust. I got the medium Magoo's special gourmet pizza. Overall it was okay, the pizza was not my preference. I should have gotten the famou combo or the garlic & chicken pizza. Service was friendly when I ordered take out. Server gave me water while I waited. A nice gesture. The atmosphere was pretty quiet that day and I didn't stay to eat...just ordered to go.

2nd time here and well worth the drive from the west side! Bruddah Parker showed us aloha right from the start and took great care of us. Bruddah Kekoa took care of us as well and even came up and poured our wine when we were running low. As always the pizza is awesome and tastes just like I remember it as a kid! Had two uncles playing awesome traditional Hawaiian music (wish I caught the name of their band). Uncle Joe from the band came up and talked story with us in-between sets. This is one of the few places on Oahu that is still pono and shows aloha. Will be back for sure! Mahalo nui loa! Same Magoo's I remember! Brought back memories of being a kid in Kailua eating Magoo's pizza at Kailua Drive Inn theater. The pizza is still awesome! Worth the drive from the west side. Will be back for sure!
