Barrister's Tavern — Restaurant in Hoover

First time visiting Alabama. I ran across barrister's tavern and decided to stop in and check it out. Seems like a good location to bring in customers but there were only about Four people there. First thing I noticed as I entered was the strong smell of marijuana. The second thing was female working behind the bar wasn't the friendliest. The wife and I had a one drink and left.

I'm not sure if this is the norm or something out of the norm for barrister's. hopefully the owner/s will get a handle on whoever's suppose to be...

Nothing fancy, luckily more blue collar than hipster and everything you need to get a buzz on after a long day. Wide open space with tables, pool table in a small side room, stage big enough for a 5 piece band, smokers porch and a bar that is about 10 seats wide. 3 beers on tap, a small but contemporary selection of craft cans, and dominating the scene, a whole bunch of domestic longnecks. OK this was our first time there and it was 4th of July . At first it was like wow and then the worst experience I have ever. I literally stop playing and we left. It was in the arcade room and everyone was nice but there was the person and she ruined it. And when I say she ruined my whole 1st time there..
