Kilwins Ice Cream - Chocolate - Fudge — Restaurant in Hoover

My family visited Kilwins this past week. The staff was friendly and the ice cream was good. However, I'm not sure we'd go back. The prices for their candy/chocolate items were not labeled accurately and quite frankly, not worth the price. Signage for cherry cordials stated one cordial was about $1.60. We were charged $3.20 for ONE relatively small cordial. Also, we purchased a piece of dark chocolate cherry bark. The chocolate was very dark, which I usually love, but it just didn't taste fantastic, especially for $8+ price tag for a 2x3 inch piece. Plus, there was a cherry pit in the bark. Today we went to Kilwins to buy chocolates and get ice cream. I have never in my life seen such horrible customer service. There were two people working. There was a couple in front of us, it took them over ten minutes to help them and they only got ice cream. After standing inline, we were next up, after 8 minutes we finally asked how much longer it would be, we were told at least 5 more minutes. Grandchildren ask to go weekly because they LOVE the ice cream. However, the bathroom has been, "Out of Service" for a long time . . . That combined with zero seating inside or out gives off the impression that customer service is superceeded by profits saved on cleaning. We've had to ask the neighboring restaurants if we can use their facilities. Hope the rest room will be open soon and a few tables at least outside so standing or eating in the car...
