Taqueria Jalapeno — Restaurant in Hope Mills

I had high hopes for this restaurant because of the reviews. So my husband and I decided to try it.

When we walked into the door, there was what looked like a salad bar but we didn't see any food in it. The booths were pushed together with the tables, making it impossible to sit down and my husband had to rearrange them just so we could sit down. He did this while the waitress stood watching him and just repeatedly saying sorry but not offering any help.

The waitress then gave us menus with water dripping off them. We told the waitress we would like to start with the chicken nachos and 2 cokes but we still needed time to look at the menu to decide on our entrees. She looked at us and said, "So just chicken nachos?" We had to repeat our request for more time to decide 2 more times. She then headed to the kitchen.

Once we decided on entrees, I turned around and looked into the kitchen and saw the waitress put a plate of nachos in a microwave and press the start button. She then took them out and went over to a bucket and reached in, pulling out a handful of sliced jalapenos and spreading them on top.

When she brought the nachos, we still had not received our drinks, napkins or silverware. My husband and I both took one bite each and noticed that half the cheese was melted and there was no chicken in the chicken nachos. I then asked the waitress if she had microwaved our food and she said, "No, I made them fresh." I told her I watched her put them in the microwave and she said, "Oh, I did after I put them on the plate." I told her that they were not good and only half cooked, but she only said sorry and nothing else.

At this point, I told the waitress that we would not be staying and please give us the check.

Even though the food was, in our opinion, not good at all, we still paid and left.

This restaurant made me rethink my stance about not eating at Taco Bell. I would not...

We had to wait like 4-5 minutes for our order to be taken the cashier was on her phone. When she proceeded to take our order she had a little bit of an attitude But we didn’t think much of it. Mind you we had driven two hours to get there and we were just excited to taste the food. On the menu they had two different kinds of quesadillas a hand made quesadilla ($3) and a flour one (around $5). I asked for the hand made quesadillas 4 of them to be exact so it was to my surprise when the total came out to be almost $40 (And no she didn’t give me a receipt) so I waited in line to have her go over the Prices with me so I could see why it has been so much money however the only thing she did was print out a receipt and handed it to me. I then very embarrassed walked back to my booth and looked over my receipt which still didn’t make sense in my head. So I I asked her if the quesadillas had gone up in price she then told me I had ordered the five dollars quesadillas I corrected her and told her I had actually wanted to three dollar quesadillas she told me that the flour quesadillas had already been made and asked me what was she supposed to do with them. They wanted me to pay and eat food that I didn’t want all this left a really bad taste in my mouth and I walked out without eating a single thing that I paid for. You can’t make a Customer eat something they don’t want especially when they tried telling you more than once that they didn’t...

Very bad service the waitress was very rude I ask fo torta cubana. ask her if the torta is good? She said she don’t know nothing about that foo she said that kind of food is nasty for her.. and the food was too salty just tested the food and I talk to her she go back to the kitchen when she comeback she pick up the plates and never ask if we need more water or something more. After she brings the plates never showed. When my husband have to pay his has to pay the full bill included the food we not eat. We left and he tells me that they charged all the food including that only tried but we did not eat it because it was very salty and she took and even the we got it. Then I got upset but never be rude. Jut come back and ask why she charge the food she turns around and very rudely she said I charges half the price because you tried it. I do not recommend.
