I absolutely loved this place when it was Greek Bites by the same owner/operator. I am also a huge fan of BBQ. Tonight was my first time returning since the format change. There were three of us, we dined in and ordered Smoke Salad with Brisket, Pulled Pork Sandwich, Pulled Pork Fries and three seltzers. After tax and 15% tip the total came to $66.53. I should have gotten the receipt because based on menu prices, I cannot figure out how the total got that high.
The pulled pork fries were a hit with my daughter. The highlight of the pulled pork sandwich were the chips that came with it. They were amazing. The sandwich was on a cornbread roll which seemed more kaiser than cornbread. Not necessarily a negative but we had envisioned more cornbread flavor and texture. Both the pulled pork and brisket were tender and juicy but we were hoping for some smoke flavor since the place has a smoker on display outside. The salad was certainly not what I was hoping for. It was mainly under-ripened tomatoes, onions, tons of shredded cheddar cheese and very little of what seemed to be a really nice lettuce mix. All the portions were generous but it would have been nice to have had a plate to mix my salad with the brisket.
While it was not what we were hoping for, I am certainly going to give it another try and will update my review once I do. Maybe ordering a salad was a mistake but I attempt to choose healthier options. After all it...
Read moreMy family was craving Greek so we decided to give this place a try for takeout. The food was serviceable, but frankly underwhelming. The hummus wasn’t smooth, and it tasted like they add sugar? The Greek Fries were just fries with feta on top. They were also really soggy. Takeout fries are never the same I know but still... The eggplant in the moussaka was undercooked and very tough which was extremely unappetizing. The salads that came with the entrees tasted good, but the tomatoes were cut in HUGE chunks, not a deal breaker but still kind of weird and lacking detail. Both of the entrees were ordered with a side of tzatziki but never came in the bag. Lastly, the chicken gyro meat was very bland, it definitely needed that tzatziki sauce. On a more positive note, the gyro meat tasted good, and was probably the best part of the meal. The rice that came with the platter was good too, it had a unique zing. I really wanted to like this place, and maybe I came on an off night, but I don’t see myself coming back. I hope this was a one off and the business succeeds but I feel compelled to share...

The baba ganoush and tzatziki were delicious and nice sized portions with a good amount of pita. There was also delicious falafel with hummus etc. We'll definitely go back when we are...
