Hopewell Station — Attraction in Hopewell

We discovered this historic train station on a summer walk around Hopewell. The train no longer stops in Hopewell, though trains still pass through the town. We heard their whistles blow as we explored the grounds. The station building is now open only for event rentals. We enjoyed relaxing on their 2 outdoor benches with our dog. This beautiful station was built by the Delaware and Bound Brook Railroad in 1876. Not far from here was the site of the Frog War between the D&BB railroad and the Mercer and Somerset Railroad.
