Ok, so just moved to the area and I was excited because the location I moved from had theirs close a while back. I have always enjoyed a Logan’s. I went here about a month ago and got a rib eye that was one of the best I had ever had, even the waitress commented unsolicited on how thick and juicy my steak looked (med/rare). I was excited to get back. However, Monday, President’s day, I came in after a long day of working on our farm and was famished. Waited with no hostess and bunch of people standing around staring at each other clueless if was seat yourself (obv not) They then sat us in the bar area and saw no one for a while. Someone “L” came up and said I am going to see if I am supposed to wait on you. Finally, she came back got our drink order and we ordered an appetizer, we were going to order at that point because it had taken so long, but I thought things would progress, and I kind of couldn’t decide between extended time on prime rib (usually only on weekends) and another rib eye. When she finally came back she forgot my drink, and that is when I really noticed how aloof she was, someone at the table said she seemed high, I had been very sweet up to this point and continued until she brought our appetizer. We waited a while for bread. We ordered our meal and then waited a very long time for our appetizer. She was just standing in the bar area acting like she had nothing going on. I asked for dipping sauce and then she didn’t come back until we got our food. I asked again for the sauce (she said onion rings don’t come with sauce anymore, I just asked for ranch) and I just said well can I please have some ranch and I asked for another bread, apologizing because we were hungry (there were 4 of us) and I had been out of water for like 10 mins. Her off putting demeanor changed my feelings toward her. Which wouldn’t matter because I didn’t see her again after we got our food. Anyway, when we got our food this time, the prime rib was like reheated refrigerated meat, it was terrible! I wanted to send it back, but I just didn’t eat it. Waitress was horrible, literally didn’t see her again until we were ready for check, I had called her over since she had not come to see if we needed anything or how our food was, at any point. I asked if they sold steak by themselves and she said she knew the answer already because they get asked that often and it is the same price as if you got it with two sides (which is fine I just wanted to see, I was just going to order a rib eye, she had to have seen my steak was practically untouched, just two small bites: one from the edge, one from the center (I ordered rare also and it was not rare it was almost med/well), totally aware she is not responsible for kitchen fails I have been in the restaurant business since a child, but she has no business working the bar, much less in waiting position, because she was over all a poor waitress. I was going to leave her $1 tip instead I tipped a little over 15% and wrote a :( I WILL SAY, our first waitress was great btw hence the 3 stars, because first visit was 5 stars and this was 1 star. I would hate to see this place end up closing because poor service and food, it is obviously capable of excellent performance. I imagine my $30 prime rib will just get cooked up with some eggs and make a $60 breakfast (inflation joke). But seriously, with this economy, eating out is a treat, so it makes it extra...

My meal was good, I ordered the French dip sandwiches, with sweet potato fries. Con: the food took forever. My wife and I along with two elderly friends and three small children were waiting for the food for at least 30 minutes after we ordered. I don't mean for just the main course. Even the appetizer was almost 25 minutes. The only quick thing was the bread which the server apologized several times for and brought out at least three sets of. I'm guessing as a way to curb our hunger.
Next there are cons: the sirloin my elderly friend ordered was so hard as to be inedible. My wife's sandwich was something similar to a French dip sandwich without the yummy dip. In fact it was simply sliced roast beef. Think thin sliced on toast. She didn't love it to be honest.
Kids meals when they came were at least good. Kids didn't complain, just were bouncing around in their chairs waiting forever which of course was a challenge. Finally the fries I ordered turned out not to be sweet potato and when I asked for them. They brought out a to go box of them around 20-30 minutes later. I.e. we all had finished our meals. Again no fast eaters plus we were chatting.
The strange thing is that the restaurant wasn't even all that busy. Yes it was a Tuesday night. I'm wondering if they only had one chef back there who was half trained and the head chef was out sick or something.
Logan's I appreciate the discounts off the meal. But I'd much rather have paid full price and had all of this experience be lots better. You can do it, the servers seemed at least okay. Get some good kitchen help and this place could do great. Also please be sure to taste your whole menu and decide what doesn't work for...
Read moreWe went out tonight to celebrate our anniversary woth our family and our experience was absolutely horrendous. After our hour wait we were seated and proceeded to wait another hour for our food. When we finally did get our food we were told the manager would be out to talk to us because two of us were missing our food. They told us they dropped our food and if we still wanted it it would be another 45 minute wait. The whole time no one received any silverware and the waitress paid no attention to us. She spent the whole time making sure every table but ours had everything they needed. She was attentive to everyone but us. She also had an attitude when we asked for forks and a refill. We asked for to go plates for the food we did have and another waitress offered a to go plate that was sitting on top of the divider that was dirty and when we requested another one she walked off and never came back. The manager proceeded to be the only one to come out and actually serve us and some of the food we did receive was wrong and one of the steaks was cooked wrong and completely hard as a rock. All the while, the waitresses gathered the corner thinking giving us a bad experience was fun and games and talking about us bc we were upset about how terrible their service is. We finally received our to go plates (from the manager) and our missing food after 2-2 1/2 hours of waiting and asked for our ticket. Our ticket was wrong and needed to be fixed. The waitress brought the food out sideways and had an attitude when I checked to make sure my food was cooked right. In the end, the service was terrible and the manager had to serve us because our waitress was too incompetent and worried about everyone else but her table and I will not be visiting here again. The manager was very nice and respectful and was clearly fustrated with the staff under her. Logan’s,...
