With all due respect, I was very surprised to discover that Paris Baguette had garnered a 4.6-star rating upon my visit to their new location. After giving them a month to settle in and train their staff to really get things down I had high hopes. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory, leading me to believe that their rating should be taken with a lot of grains of salt.
Upon arrival, I was taken aback by the emptiness of the place. Most of the tables outside were unoccupied (which makes sense considering it is alongside a highway) and inside, only two tables were being utilized. Curiously, five employees were stationed at three cash registers, so one would imagine the efficiency to be amazing. Yet the efficiency of the operation was severely lacking and the confusion I experienced was indescribable. There was 5 people standing doing absolutely nothing behind the registers.
When my order was finally taken, the employee showed no greeting, eye contact, or any form of interaction. The entire transaction consisted of a curt "What do you want?" and nothing more. As I waited near the counter, I observed other customers approaching the registers, only to be ignored by the employees. Despite the abundance of staff, only one register was open, and nobody was even running it anyway and the customers stood there awkwardly, waiting for acknowledgment or assistance from any of the 5 employees there standing. It was only after an extended and uncomfortable period that one employee finally acknowledged them, at which point she then apologized and said sheās not working which is really weird because sheās just there behind the register doing nothing. After some more awkward waiting another employee finally acknowledged them and directed them to a different register. The whole experience was baffling, unprofessional, confusing and frankly, rude.
To make matters worse, the same employees who neglected the customers at the front were the ones responsible for preparing my drink. It was disheartening to see them engaging in idle chatter while my order remained untouched. After a seemingly endless wait, my drink was finally being made. The inefficiency of the entire process was disconcerting.
I feel compelled to mention that the only reason I am still giving Paris Baguette two stars is due to the pleasant ambiance and visually appealing pastries. However, some of the pastries were only mediocre in taste. It is clear that this new location has the potential to be amazing if properly staffed and managed. In the meantime, I would highly recommend visiting āMy French Cafeā for a much more better customer, food, and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve tried really hard to give this place a chance, but every single time I come Iām extremely disappointed. The food is always stale, soggy, and not fresh. For a bakery that supposedly makes their food fresh itās the worst Iāve ever had. The management team needs to figure out how to train their staff because the front of house employees are some of the rudest and laziest workers Iāve ever seen in my life. They never greet you when you walk in and they always have an attitude when trying to check out. If theyāre unhappy where they work they should find a different job or the management needs to be changed immediately because the way the store is run is clearly showing in how the employees act/treat their guests. Donāt even get me started on the coffee⦠I swear my drink is made a different way every time I order it!! For the love of god why canāt the managers teach their employees how to make a simple coffee! Truly disappointing how management runs this store. It would also do them some good to learn how to clean the store because itās always a mess when I visit. This was the last chance I gave this place and I will not be giving them anymore of my money for mediocre food and absolutely terrible service/management. The winter park location is amazing and Iāll be making that location...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI visited your establishment with the intention of enjoying some delicious pastries, but unfortunately, I encountered a significant issue during my visit.
Upon selecting a few pastries and proceeding to the checkout, I noticed that the total amount I was quoted was higher than I anticipated. Curious about the discrepancy, I carefully reviewed the itemized bill and realized that I had been overcharged for a couple of the pastries. This discovery naturally prompted me to bring the matter to the attention of your cashier.
To my surprise, the cashier informed the manager or owner about the situation. However, instead of acknowledging the error or attempting to rectify the situation, I was met with an unsatisfactory response. The manager or owner stated that the prices listed on the labels were incorrect, suggesting that the overcharging was intentional or acceptable.
This response left me feeling disappointed and disillusioned. As a customer, I believe it is essential to have confidence in the accuracy of pricing and the integrity of the establishment. The fact that your store neglected to maintain consistent pricing information on your products, and even worse, failed to take responsibility for this error, is truly dissapointing to...
