Waffle House — Restaurant in Horn Lake

I went there on 4/6 they were packed, I was going to place a to go order, the cashier greeted me by saying "what you getting"? So I let that slide. Once I placed my order she gave me a receipt and that's when it all went down hill, I noticed that I'd been charged $5 more for my meal plus a service fee if $1.85 and a to go fee of $1.85 my meal was only $13.50 (at least that's what it was on the menu). So I asked the cashier why was my total $22.20 she instantly got mad and said I don't have time for this when all I simply wanted to know is what am I being charged for. So I asked her to go get someone that did have time, the manager came over and I asked him the same question and before he could answer me she blurted out ma'am you have to pay taxes everywhere you go! At this point I've had enough of her and the manager standing there not doing anything. So my daughter stepped in and tried talking to the "manager" the cashier walked off still talking, so he explained that there's are $5 fee for to go orders but according to my receipt I was charged both $5 and $1.85 for placing a to go order. I honestly didn't have a problem paying but due to the cashier and her very nasty rude attitude I told him to cancel my order because of her, no apologies we're given at all and as a result I nor my daughter will be returning. ...

Went in after work one Thursday, first I asked the waitress did I have to seat myself and she says sit where it's clean. The bar area was full the two available booths were filthy and the other two booths were filled by waffle house employees. I sat In the smaller bar section. Next came the flies I thought one or two flying around wouldn't be bad but the longer I sat there the more the came out. Come to find out it's a trash can where their dumping food behind the area I'm sitting in. I ask the waitress to was it too late to make my order to go. She immediately gets an attitude with me and ask why I mean in front of everyone in waffle house. I say I'm tired of shooing away flies. She tells the cook make that last order Togo cause they sick of the flies in front of everyone. Waitress just seem like she never like me from the time I sat down for some odd reason. I'm not one to complain but I'm not eating around no bugs be thankful I got the food and left a tip. I felt sorry for the manager none of the employees except the cook seem to wanna really work there. And my order was wrong but whatever. At the end of the day we all have bad days I ate the food prob would eat there again just will...

Upon entering I noticed that the restaurant’s floors were extremely dirty there was food from previous service and they were also slippery. My family and I sat to the far left of the building in the first booth. The table needed cleaning which I had to do myself with a wet wipe because my waitress simply placed down napkins and utensils and took our drink order. The menu was sticky from syrup and there was also a dead fly on it. We ordered two coffees and a orange juice (I found a dried particles attached to the inside of my coffee mug after drinking a third of it) for beverages. Two waffles (One was burnt and cold), chicken melt plate, side of hash brows, sausages and a hash brown bowl no eggs (added eggs anyway). My waitress apologized for the mistakes stating that she was new and deducted my coffee due to the “Coffee Grains” as she claimed had come from the coffee pot and attached itself to the inside of my mug.
