First, this review is intended only for the 9ers located off Blackhawk (Houston, TX). I have dined in and ordered from the 9ers located in Katy, TX for many years and never had any issues. The problem at this location is the personnel (from my perspective). I have no idea what the food tastes like, since every time (the 3rd and finally chance) I called to order I have been told twice: āwe are closedā or āwe donāt serve breakfast.ā I requested to speak to someone āin chargeā (manager/owner) and my request was followed with: āhmm, the owner doesnāt get here for another hour, can you call back?ā I specifically asked for the manager and was then told: āhmm, the manager is at the store.ā I think I got the impression Greg. To this establishmentās owner: How do you ever expect to keep customers happy with misinformation? What I gathered from my maybe five (5) minutes of connection on three (3) different occasions with your restaurant is: Your hours of operation are wrong. Your menu is wrong. Your personnel are rude, disrespectful, and dishonest. I would hate to wrongfully accuse human behaviors, but the first two (2) problem areas are easily rectified. Customers beware of the ratings scam that is obviously whatās going on here to keep their ratings āhigh.ā Please take the time to open their reviews and look at the balance of the reviews. I didnāt make a big deal about it so I when up to the front counter and asked the worker if I could have a side of mayonnaise in a small cup in place of the missing items they charged me for. The worker was very nice and polite and gave me the mayo but then an older man with glasses started to yell at the employee which I felt was inappropriate on his name tag it said he was a military veteran and I donāt tolerate that because most of my family have served and he didnāt do anything wrong so I stood up and tried to intervene to tell the man that the kitchen didnāt give me my chilli cheese fries so the employee was just trying to compensate me for the mistake. The man proceeded to tell me he was the owner and he spend hundreds of dollars just for rent which was irrelevant to the topic of discussion. I told him that he shouldnāt be yelling at a veteran that fought for our freedom over mayonnaise because the kitchen was the one that gave me the wrong order. He didnāt listen and the scolded the employee some more. I will never spend my money here again and I hope that the vet that took my order finds a better job because that was absolutely disgusting next time weāll go to another restaurant that actually treats its employees with respect and doesnāt treat military veterans like trash. Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe went into Niners grill where my daughter previously picked up food for us in the past, and we thought it was pretty good and we were exhausted ( we are elderly ) and didn't feel up to cooking which we usually do and only pick up or order out about ever other week and we went by there and picked up dinner. We ordered a crawfish salad and a seafood platter. The counter staff were just wonderful and we studied the menu and thought āoh wow, those burgers look absolutely delicious, Weāll have to come back and have one.ā I was already salivating on the thought of some of the burgers and then we got home and were looking forward to our meal with eager anticipation. I should have remembered that I have been told you should never order seafood from a non-seafood restaurant. It was absolutely the worst meal we have ever experienced in our 67 years of life and both of us had to throw away our food. They probably have delicious burgers and sandwiches but they should take seafood off their menu. I do have to say that even as bad as it was, I am willing to try one burger, and if it is not good, we will never go again. We would have given a negative review if it was possible, but because the service and the staff were so fantastic I guess a one star is a good...
