I've been a loyal customer for over 15 years (even had our wedding catered by them) however, my recent trip to the restaurant had me leave this review. Ever since the guy doesn't work there any more (now ran by older ladies), this restaurant's customer service went downhill!
Long Review: I typically order and pay in advance a day before I needed to pick up our foods. I told the older ladies that I'd pick it on on Saturday at 12:30pm. As I arrived there at 12:40pm, they didn't have my order ready! I believe they had forgot and started making our order when I arrived. As they were stalling and not giving me an answer, I told them I needed to leave because I was running late to our event and that they should've been done with my order a long time ago. I told them to give me whatever foods that was ready and to cancel any that they were currently making. They kept apologizing and stalling which I didn't care at this point. As I was about to leave at 1pm, they finally got most of my order and forgot to give me a bag of shrimp chips that should've came with one of our entrees. I was so upset at this point that I didn't bother arguing with them. FYI, I paid $230 in advance for 5 entrees (3 party trays & 2 regular entrees). If they would've gave us a discount, extra free entree or cancel whichever entree they didn't make, then this review would've been different.
Like some other reviews, their customer service is TERRIBLE! The sad part is their foods are still pretty good so if you don't care about customer service and want some decent Vietnamese cuisine, then you should come here.
What I typically order (party trays @ $65/each): -Peking Duck with steamed buns -Special House Fried rice -Fried Chicken wings with fish sauce -Goi Sua Tom Thit
I hope this restaurant hires better people or this family restaurant would go down...
Read moreI really like this place for Vietnamese food. It's family style but some of the portions aren't too big. I've been here a lot and I never see it really busy, so we never have to wait for a table. One thing to note is that the customer service here is really good, probably best out of all the other Asian restaurants. They always recognize my bf and I when we come in and always talk to us. They even remember that one time my bf came in when he was sick and asked how he was when we came back the next week!! What we usually get is some type of fried rice and a vegetable dish. My favorite is the roasted chicken fried rice, it was nothing what I expected. I think they give you a whole tiny chicken cut in half and it looks like it's kind of fried but it's not. The rice itself is really tasty as well. We've gotten the Peking duck and it's also really good here too.
Pros: Good value Great customer service,...
Read moreI always crave the most random things in the middle of the night, and Peking Duck was it! So I literally ordered it from A Ly the next morning. lol cravings are horrible. It’s been well over a decade since I’ve been back here. I ordered a Peking duck to take to work. Food was prepared within 10 mins! Holy cow that’s quick. That’s always a good thing. Prices definitely increased but that’s understandable. $30 and some change for a duck and buns. Not too shabby. I was impressed with the buns and veggies given but my duck was kind of depressing. The skin was super thick and wasn’t crispy. The duck meat itself was kind of bland. Meat wasn’t as tender. Really greasy though. And tell me why my duck looks so skinny? lol it didn’t even fill up the pan. Like I got an anorexic duck. Oh well. Overall not bad. Probably dine in next time.
