!!!!!DO NOT BUY HERE!!!! My kids were here last night. They picked up their to-go order and drove away. It was late so the store was closed when they tasted their drinks. Per my children, the drinks tasted spoiled. My daughter frequents the store so she knows what her regular drink should taste like. I am very disappointed with the customer service!! My daughter called to let them know the situation and asked for a refund. She was told to come in with the drinks and she could have new drinks made and/or have a refund. When she went back, she was told that the person who told her that is new (which is a common go to statement in the owner’s responses to other reviews) and didn’t know that there are no guarantees, no refunds and no remakes for to-go orders. She tried to further communicate with the person she was talking to and she was ignored. She left the drinks on the counter since the lady ignored her, and called me to explain what happened. I called and spoke with someone and let her know that this is not how you do business and that they should honor their product. Someone was speaking in the background in another language and then I could hear that she put me on speaker. I let her know that I could hear that she now has me on speaker and voiced my concern with the person in the background. The lady on the phone speaking English just apologized and said that they do not guarantee any drink that is a to-go. I asked her if you order a drink and don’t taste it until you get home, how are you to know it’s bad. They did not seem to care and told me over and over that they do not guarantee any to-go. Apparently, customers are NEVER right at this location (Bellaire & Wilcrest). As I stroll through the reviews both recent and past, the owner’s response to the bad reviews are very, very defensive. Not apologetic at all! I have yet to see where they take accountability just like they didn’t take accountability with my children’s drinks. I saw where someone said they got food poisoning and the owner was very defensive to that. On that note, my kids could have been food poisoned had they drank those bad drinks, and for them not to refund is disgraceful and extremely upsetting to say the least!!! I don’t know why my daughter traveled so far to visit THAT store when there are many very good boba stores near us with outstanding customer service and respect for their customers. She will not be going back to that store ever again I know that for sure. A place that would rather keep $15 in their pockets rather than do what’s right by their customers don’t deserve our business and support, nor the support of any other. As I’m reading the reviews of others and the owners responses, I could see that they do not care about their customers at all. To say in several responses “We take those types of allegations seriously”, they should also take the health of their customers seriously also and not just think of their pocket books. In the business that I’m in, when we have to refund someone based on their word, it’s thousands of dollars we refund, but we do it in order to stay in good standing with our clients and to not gain a bad reputation. We don’t have to refund often because we value our clients and produce excellent results. I’m saying that to say, if this place knows their product is as exceptional as they claim, they wouldn’t have a problem to refund a few dollars because it wouldn’t happen often. But looks like they have more than enough bad reviews so apparently the product isn’t always at its best. The owner’s responses always had an answer as to “Why”. Why the drink was half empty, why the ration of ice to drink is what it is, etc. Hopefully, many people that read this review and the reviews of many others, realize that this place does not deserve OUR business! I’ve been getting the brown sugar pearl tea and noticed that yesterday it tasted funny. I also purchased one for my brother and we both noticed that the milk in the drink was expired. You KNOW the taste of expired milk!! I called to let them know as we ordered them to go right before closing and they said they’d give me a call back. They never did so I called a second time and they told me to come back in for a refund. I went on my lunch break and she said she could not give a refund nor remake the drinks. She stated that since I left she wasn’t going to do anything to fix the situation despite me bringing both drinks back, the receipt and being promised a refund even though she knew exactly who I was and what was promised. Read moreI'm so conflicted. Hands down great Customer Service, Hands down the greatest tasting Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea & Boba, I've ever tasted. But I really wanted a snack as well, so I ordered the coconut shrimp. I searched through 6 pieces of whatever was connected to that shrimp tail, but it definitely wasn't shrimp. I got more and more worried with every bite, trying to find the shrimp. I don't know what meat this was, but me being a chef myself as well, definitely didn't taste shrimp. I was kind of sad because the drink was so delicious. But anyhoo, I would come back for sure. But Please sell real shrimp for food. It would've made the experience so much better.
