Abu Omar Halal - Clear Lake, TX — Restaurant in Houston

Last week, I decided to buy the chicken shawarma from Abu Omar at this location and the gentlemen was kind and took my order on the phone. Sadly, when I went to go pick it up- the box has totally changed to a newly branded box, which half of it is occupied by the one sauce they give you and a few pickled vegetables. What is crazy, is that the other half of the box contains the shawarma sandwich (considerably smaller than what they used to sell) and 15 fries. Take a look at the picture below. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I find it ridiculous to pay $15 for this crap of a meal and some air. Really hoping they get rid of this new branding and go back to the white styrofoam box and provide customers with a bigger shawarma, 15+ fries, more sauces and pickles. Disappointed with Quality and Portion Size. I’ve been to other Abu Omar Halal locations and always had a great experience, but this particular location was extremely disappointing. The portion sizes were shockingly small—definitely not worth the price. It honestly felt like they were cutting corners and hoping no one would notice.

We ordered the fried cauliflower and received four tiny, unseasoned pieces—no salt, no flavor, just oily and bland. It was honestly insulting, especially compared to other branches that serve proper portions with actual taste.
