We had banh mi, it was good the typical how it’s supposed to be. Now as far as space of the store very crowded and the people that goes there are as unpleasant as the service by the women that’s making the sandwich. We usually go there for the cheap price and they used to give more meat and sauce but not worth the service getting more and more unpleasant. Just because now you make a lot of business due to the people going there does not mean you can just be rude as if you don’t need your customers anymore because that’s who keeping you in business. The man checking us out, he was friendly, the only friendly one. He interacted with his customers and smile. But the women seem annoyed when we were ordering like we can’t even make requests or order. That’s what they were showing so for sure they were not happy when us placing an order so we won’t anymore. It’s sad older places becoming like this. And we went to a new one across the street about 5 min away and run by younger lady and they are super nice and sandwich taste so fresh and good and we felt like we were betraying the old one but after the unpleasant vibe it made it easier for us to move on just extra .75 more at a more happier service. When we go our average is $20 or...

(4/20) I’m really disappointed to be writing this, especially bc my family and I have been coming here for years. But I feel it’s necessary to share. My family and I ordered banh mi from this restaurant on Friday. Within the next 24–48 hours, all three of us came down with intense food poisoning symptoms. I had the BBQ banh mi, and my parents had the combo sandwiches. We’re still recovering and haven’t been able to keep much down.

We’re certain this meal was the cause, as we didn’t eat anything else in common that day. This has been painful, stressful, and honestly scary. I hope the restaurant takes this seriously and checks food safety protocols to prevent this from happening to other customers.

Please be cautious if you plan to eat here.

Update: 4/22 please read the recent reviews. There are 3 other users who have gotten food poisoning around the time I also wrote this review. Please report this place to an inspector through...

I bought some banh mi and ate at a table inside the shop. Just as I finished the banh mi and pulled out a small dessert from a different shop, a worker came out and told us to leave if we aren’t eating their products. I tried explaining to the lady that I had just finished her banh mi, but she glared and walked away without listening to me. Terrible attitude while talking to me and taking my order.

Besides that, the pork had an absurd ratio of fat and was extremely salty. The banh mi was sloppily put together, too. Although I was planning on buying a few more items before I left, the skyrocketing prices (with smaller portions over time) and the worker’s demeanor has resulted in me no longer shopping from this bakery. Don’t come to this shop unless you must… go to the Hong Kong mall food court on the other end, and you’ll meet nice people with a larger variety of FRESH and decently...

This place is a terrific small shop in the Hong Kong City Mall. They have a variety of sweet and savory snacks, desserts, and appetizers that one would find at a sit-down Vietnamese restaurant. Along with the snacks, I usually order a combo cold cut banh mi sandwich, and the meal is as satisfying as any Vietnamese lunch or dinner one can find. All the foods I have tried are pretty tasty, and the prices are very reasonable. A definite must-stop if you are in the Bellaire Chinatown-Vietnam Town area.

Want pretty good banh mi sandwich for $5? This is your place. This is not a fancy or trendy foodie deli, this is where the locals go for authentic banh mi, check out and see how much meats, butter and breads they go through in an hour. That speaks volumes about how the locals think of their food. I got the roasted pork banh mi and it was full of tasty pork, butter and vegetables. The bread could be a little more crunchy and the vegetables would be a little more seasoned. But for $5, it’s damn good.

A bánh mì shop inside this mall area. They are quick and it is cash only. We got #1 and #2 and for $5 it was amazing! One banh mi we asked for extra pate and butter which is $1 extra each. The flavor is amazing but can feel like a heart attack as they did not hold back with the extra. Pro tip is to ask for the veggies on the side if you are not eating it right away! No place to eat inside but there is two small tables outside, but banh mi isn’t difficult to eat on the go anyways
