Just tried this place last week. It is really awesome. It is all Texas products and there are some true jewels on their rotating taps. I would expect continuing surprises. So many microbreweries do not can so you cannot try it or buy it at a grocery store. Kegs are the only way so a location like this are the best way to discover something new. Not only that, if you find something outstanding, you can get a fresh quart can of that surprising new find to take home for a dinner or other event!
All these wonderful styles and more worth your time in this place: porters, ales, meads, berliner weisse sours, stouts, india pale ales, red ales, gruits, saisons, milk stout, hefeweizen, gose, from all over the state - quite a collection without the drive and hotel expenses!
They allow in food from anywhere so in the same shopping center is Simply Greek and down the block is Polonia so food is nearby if you need something more than a bag of chips. The owners said they are looking to include charcuterie or other appetizer-type fare in the future. They do have some board and card games to play while consuming tasty beverages.
In the spirit of honesty, this has been my summer of beer and I really hope that everyone will give this place a try when in the mood for a cerveza or other casual...
Read moreFantastic neighborhood spot with dozens of craft beers on tap (they post their menu on the DigitalPour app), nine wines by the glass or bottle, and a couple of packaged beers to go. BUT, you can get a crowler of the draft beers as well!!!
The setting is akin to a coffeeshop, which is a good thing. Comfortable, with bar stools plus tables, high tops and a sofa to lounge in in the rear of the space. The front is a big wall of windows. In the backyard they have a few picnic tables, but nobody was using them, because it's 96 degrees outside!
The staff was very friendly and helpful in choosing among the myriad beers. On a Friday afternoon the crowd was very pleasant. You could tell people were happy to be there and having a good time. Mostly a young professional crowd, but some people brought their kids with them, so there were moms and dads, too (who likely fell into the young professional segment as well).
Overall, a great new addition to the neighborhood. Pulling beer lovers and people just looking to wind down from all over the area (and possibly further). We'll be...
Read moreA small spot in a strip center but the personalities inside were huge - we got there around 4:00 on a Wednesday afternoon and there were quite a few people already there for the evening. My husband and I started off at the bar but eventually moved to a table to play some of the card games the bar had. I really enjoyed the beer selection - not massive but it was a curated list of dozens of Texas brews. The bartender was very kind and offered to let us try anything before we committed to a full pint of it. We enjoyed everything about our stay and with the card games, we easily stayed for two hours. It looks like a couple folks have made it their local hangout spot as well as we saw several groups of friends sitting together and enjoying the bar. We'll definitely return the next time we can get...
