**Cream Burger: A Decent Burger Joint in the UofH Area** Located in the heart of the University of Houston area, Cream Burger is a local favorite that offers a satisfying burger experience without breaking the bank. This modest eatery has carved out a niche for itself among students and locals alike, thanks to its straightforward menu, decent pricing, and enjoyable outdoor seating. **Tasty Burgers and Chilli Cheese Fries** Cream Burger's menu might not be extensive, but what it lacks in variety, it makes up for in flavor. The burgers are the main attraction, with juicy patties, fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and onions, all sandwiched between soft buns. The simplicity of the burgers is their strength, offering a no-frills but delicious meal that hits the spot every time. The chilli cheese fries at Cream Burger are another highlight. The fries are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, smothered in a hearty chili and melted cheese. It's a comforting and indulgent side dish that pairs perfectly with their burgers. **Decent Pricing for Budget-Friendly Meals** One of the reasons Cream Burger is popular among the UofH crowd is its decent pricing. The burgers and sides are reasonably priced, making it an excellent option for students and anyone looking for a budget-friendly meal. You can enjoy a satisfying burger and fries without feeling like you've spent too much. **Nice Outdoor Seating for a Casual Dining Experience** Cream Burger offers a nice outdoor seating area that adds to its casual and relaxed vibe. The outdoor space is perfect for enjoying your meal on a sunny day or a warm evening. It's a great spot to hang out with friends, enjoy a quick bite, and soak in the bustling atmosphere of the UofH area. **Final Thoughts** Cream Burger is a decent burger place that delivers on taste, value, and convenience. While it might not be the fanciest burger joint in Houston, it offers a solid burger experience that's hard to beat for the price. The chilli cheese fries are a must-try, and the outdoor seating adds a nice touch to the overall dining experience. If you find yourself in the UofH area and in need of a quick, tasty, and affordable meal, Cream Burger is worth checking out.

So today was my first time visiting. I wanted to order 3 large burgers. it was an older lady with glasses at the window. When I walked up she continued to draw lines on her paper as I'm standing there waiting to order. She then put the paper down and ask what I wanted to order I told her I wanted to order three large burgers. I asked what all came on the burger she slammed up the the screen on the window and point it to the menu on the counter. mind you the menu on the counter and the menu on the wall do not have the condiments that come on the burger listed only the counter menu you has what comes on the burger. I told her I didn't want any mustard on one of the burgers no onions and no tomatoes she then stated that I would have to tell her that I didn't want Mayo either because they will still put mayo on the burger. I was like okay but that Not listed on the list. I just decided to leave because she was very rude and very impatient as if she had so much to do and I was just bothering her and wasting her time this was my first/last time at this establishment and you won't have to worry about me coming back.

I took cash because they don't accept anything else. I ordered a burger (everything on it), fries, and a root beer float. But I did not feed the panhandlers, as the signage demands. I sat at the concrete picnic tables and looked at the corner store across the street, two men loitering on the side, occasional kids driving by on bicycles. I saw women in scrubs and men in casual wear smoking Swishers as they waited their turn to order and get their number. Among the train horns, rattle of car speakers in traffic, and din of the kitchen, my number was called. I devoured my food, whispering prayers of gratitude for that place and that moment. I threw away the only thing left of my food, the paper wrappers. I talked with Ms. Greenwood about how the Third Ward is changing. New train, new walls, new apartments. But I also appreciated how much stayed the same: black-owned businesses serving the community, and real people eating real food to get rest from their real lives. The food is great, but the experience is profound. This is Houston.

Best burger stand in not only the area but the city, in my opinion. Burgers are delicious, it's like a homemade wataburger style burger. Their meat is thin so I get the double, with fresh produce. Most ingenious part is that if you get a double they put the cheese on the bun side and the produce in between the two patties. It makes all the difference!!! Whatever they cook their burgers in, is amazing, but the burgers are never to greasy, Everything I've tried from there is delicious, Chili burger and chilli dog is great. Good, real ice cream shakes. Love their FLOATS because they use soft serve ice cream for it. AMAZING!!!. Always try and go there when I'm in there area. They are quite low priced also but certainly not "cheap". High quality ingredients, you can definitely tell. I get two huge burgers, two large fries, a shake, a root beer float, and a soft drink for under $20. Wouldn't go anywhere else for a burger if I could.

Note for those who saw reviews about their service. They are very nice people, usually when I go theres an older black lady at the window that is good at her job and very nice when you yourself have your stuff together. Couple of things you should know, they only accept cash, no bills larger then 20. No cell phones while ordering, and know what you want before you order. Meaning you can't be rude first! Its an ordering window, not a make your decision window. She has stuff to do, and you can either decide on your order in line or off to the side. And the cell phone thing, I shouldn't have to explain why that's rude, however if you tell her "I'm sorry, I'm reading my friends order from a text", she will understand, I've done it before in a timely fashion shes cool with it. DO NOT be talking on the phone with someone trying to get their order and telling the what they have and how much it is while ordering! That is RUDE! Have that convo off to the side then order. All in all they are very nice if you are nice also, like most Texans.

I had been wanting to try this place for a long time especially after seeing it on a t.v. show about places to visit in Texas. Maybe my expectations were too high and I had it built up of how good it was going to be, I let myself down, not the restaurant itself. I ordered the double burger and fries. The prices were very reasonable. I did have to wait because there was a small line in the middle of the afternoon but the wait wasn't unreasonable and I didn't mind. I got my order in a reasonable amount of time, I don't mind waiting for a fresh cooked burger. I got home and and it looked exactly what I had been waiting for, an old fashion homemade burger like when I was a kid. The fries had a good flavor and they appeared to be fresh cut not frozen, but they were limp and not crispy, just like when I make them fresh at home. I was hoping they knew some magic trick to make them crispy. So, if I visit again I will just make my own fries at home and buy a whole bag of potatoes for $2 instead of just getting a small portion, probably 1 potato they used to make my fries. Now to the burger, the main attraction. After a couple of bites my dreams and expectations were destroyed. It had a nice amount of tomatoes and some pickles, the lettuce was almost non existent. The worst part was, the patties were charred and dry. As a whole, it was just ok, nothing special. It wasn't horrible but it was nothing to call all my friends and say, you gotta go try this place! Maybe I shouldn't make a final decision until I try it again? Everyone has bad days. I gave it 3 stars because it is just pretty average. In my opinion, if you are looking for a big fat juicy burger, this is not the place. If your looking for a affordable homemade burger on a budget this is a good option. You could also buy a pound of ground beef and make your own for just a dollar or two more and season it how you like it. If I go back here and it blows me away, I will update...
