Where do I start?? First off, the chef was sooo personable, patient and helpful while I tried to figure out what I wanted. While I was trying to decide what drink I wanted, the chef let me try the Voodoo Punch and at that point, I knew the food was going to be delicious! The Voodoo Punch was perfectly sweet and so flavorful and it comes with fresh orange slices. I ordered the potato bowl, which comes with shrimp, sausage, chicken and an Alfredo sauce and it was perfectly seasoned and a humongous serving! Every meal they serve is in huge portions AND they come with a drink! I also ordered a fried catfish filet and let me tell you it was a big, thick piece of fish, battered and fried to perfection!! Crispy and again, perfectly seasoned. I also got a side of yams and macaroni and cheese, no complaints there either.. perfect cooked and seasoned! I also tried one of my dad’s fried wings.. season, battered and fried to perfection!!! I also had a spoon of my momma gumbo, delicious!! I’m from Louisiana so I know gumbo and Creole Kitchen did NOT disappoint. Did I mention everything came out at the same time AND was piping hot?? I also like that they serve everything in to-go containers so when you’re ready to leave your food is ready too! I will certainly be back! Also, I was telling the chef just how much I love the food and he told me if you leave a review you can redeem a serving of free boudin egg rolls and I told him I would… this man went ahead and brought me the egg rolls before I even start my review. And of course, they were delicious! Perfectly crispy, stuffed with homemade boudin and melted mozzarella cheese! The customer service is unmatched. If you made it this far into this review and you’re still trying to decide if you should go, get up NOW and make your way there!!

I visit on my lunch break, the service was very nice. The menu has variety of nice selections. My only issue is the price of the food doesn't get close to portion size. I order shrimp and grits and my plate was so light when she handed to me, I didn't think anything was in it. I said, "oh no" that's too light lol, the lady immediately said you want some more grits.. lol. I told her no that's ok. When I open it the food wasn't nowhere half of the bowl, this was very disappointing. When I tasted it my grits were cold but the shrimp was hot. The grits may have gotten cold waiting on the shrimp. I didn't make a big deal of it though, the flavor was ok. My assistant order the pasta, now her bowl was half way full but for 20 dollars it should have been full all the way up. The pasta was good the sauce was runny though. The garlic bread dipped in the pasta sauce was a hit for me I got full off that lmao. Overall I think the food is good but definitely not worth the price. The price for the shrimp and grits was 28.00 and the pasta was 20.00. All the prices are over price from looking at other peoples food portion size is a concern. These are both pictures before anyone took a bite. Oh they cool aid is very good too. This my honest opinion, and before you attack me go buy something and come back and say I'm lying. I will go back to try their gumbo...lol.

So when me and my friend was getting ready to order the food the lady at the register kept leaving cause she said oh wait I have to check and see if we have it to almost everything I asked for I ordered the boudin egg rolls and it didn’t taste like boudin so I definitely was disappointed about that. I also had the meat pies and they were drenched in so much grease that it was impossible to eat. Although I was able to open it to taste to meat and it was decent. I ordered the seafood dressing and only took one bite out of it and was instantly upset cause it was so sweet it taste like cake and that’s not what I ordered .Last thing I had was the gumbo the first thing I didn’t like about it was that my rice was already in my gumbo. I like to add my own rice cause I don’t like much I had only ordered a small one and it was full of rice. The roux for the gumbo was really light and the taste just wasn’t there! I thought that me and my friend was going for good food cause your pics on social media look so good so I was convinced. Also I seen one container that had the daiquiris in it but nothing was spinning it was just sitting there. The pics and the videos screamed Louisiana/creole but the food definitely wasn’t giving !

Update: I can’t order from here any longer. It’s not worth it. Every time I have ordered from here if there’s a problem and honestly it’s just too expensive.

The last time that I ate here, they watered down the gumbo and didn’t include the crab legs so I spent $22 on chicken soup and five extra dollars for white rice (I had a coupon for that due to past loyalty… which is no more).

The time before that, I specifically called and asked to make sure that I would have ranch with my wings because… Who wants $20 wings (6 wings pirces with fries) that don’t come with ranch? Why is that even an option? I’ve ordered wings from them three or four times now. and I’ve ordered from this place probably at least 10 times in my life and every single time they forget something. The consistent thing that they forget is the ranch to the point where I didn’t even know they sold ranch for a while.

I made a it a point to not place my order until I can get them on the phone and specifically ask for my ranch to be included in the bag.The manager Court told me specifically They would make sure I had ranch, albeit with a sarcastic tone. I’m sure you can guess what happened next. I called back and he act like he had no idea what I was talking about, said they didn’t have any DoorDash orders, and I spent most of the time with the phone on the counter listening to the music in the background because he claimed he couldn’t hear me even though I could hear myself echo just fine. For the prices, there should be no problems. If you’re going to charge $20 for 3.5 wings and some fries, you should make sure they come with what they need to come with and have a working phone to top it off. Not to mention my gumbo jeaux was watered down and the rice was hard so the meal wasnt even good. I spent my fourth and last $5 off for spending $50 (that’s how much I’ve eaten here) on this order and will just leave well enough alone. Never again it’s just too expensive for what it is and there’s too many options for gumbo in the area.

Original: One of my favorite restaurants in the city. I’ve only ordered it on DoorDash before when I order all the time. My favorite is the gumbo jeaux and the wings. I only have two complaints… Firstly, they almost never give me the ranch with my wings. I tried to call after I order to make sure it would be included but no one answered. I also used to also have the ability to get the sauce on the side of my wings which I prefer because I usually eat the leftovers and it’s better to heat up the wings without the sauce on it but I don’t anymore on DoorDash. Moving into my second complaint, it’s a very pricey restaurant. Seven wing pieces (3.5 wings) and french fries are $20. The gumbo jeaux which is my favorite doesn’t come with enough rice in my opinion, and five dollars extra for a 8 oz container of white rice is just ridiculous. Things like that let me know that the prices are inflated severely. The prices and portions do not add up at all. For that reason I don’t order it as much as I would like because it’s very expensive. If the price is made sense, I would probably order two or three times a week, that’s how much I like it Overall I think it’s a solid restaurant but the pricing model doesn’t...
