Shipley Do-Nuts — Restaurant in Houston

The absolute BEST Shipley’s I have ever been to. EVER. Almost every Shipley’s I’ve ever visited was FILTHY. This location is the only location I have ever been to that was spotless, clean from top to bottom. The staff is always super friendly and very accommodating. The fastest Shipley’s drive-thru in all the land. I have waited up to 30 minutes in a line at other Shipley’s before. Not this one!!! Never this one. I’m in and out in less the 5 minutes, every time.

And their donuts and kolaches?!🤤🤤🤤🤤 The most fluffiest, most delicious-est glazed donuts. Their cake donuts?!🤤🤤🤤🤤 So absolutely moist. Those kolaches?! They don’t only make the standard sausage/ham kolaches. But oh my god, they make turkey and cheese, beef and cheddar, pizza, buffalo chicken (but all only on certain days😭😭😭, thank goodness because I would give this Shipley’s all my money😭😭) This Shipley’s even makes custom donuts?! I’ve bought Astro donuts, Texan donuts, Halloween donuts, valentines donuts (which were my favorite because they were themed Anti-Valentines day instead of the traditional all pink and red hearts, but they had those too!)

Don’t think your donuts or kolaches are hot enough, all ya gotta do is ask! It’s a bakery, and bakeries have FRESHLY-made items sitting out that EVENTUALLY get cold, same goes for donuts guys...

Most of the “negative” reviews I’ve read about this place don’t even have anything to do with their baked goods, but the store/lobby hours?! I have never EVER had an issue with going through the DRIVE-THRU before 7am... Every single item I have ever gotten through the drive-thru was absolutely exactly the way I ordered it. Hours of operation start at 5am here and, all the times I have ordered here, they were open, operating, had all products available, and are very efficient and friendly and fast. All before 7am, AND all through the good ol’ drive-thru.

It’s most certainly a FACT this is the best Shipley’s around and I will continue to be a very very loyal customer. Bring the fam and friends and colleagues...

I have been going to the ship resorts for over a year at least once or twice a month however this morning in particular I have walked in and I had a horrible experience with a cashier named Anna I have told Anna I would like to have the breakfast sausage and egg sandwich plus a sausage kolache she kept thinking that I am talking about a regular kolache I kept telling her that I want the sausage egg and cheese kolache and a regular sausage kolache the first time I had explained to what would I like I got extremely upset Head Start raising her voice Worcester drive through cashier was looking at her like girl you need to calm down stick draw through cashier did not say that but they look on her face was like you tripping not to me but to Anna I do not recommend termination however I do recommend a strong talking to

Maybe she's having a rough morning maybe she's having a rough time in life I don't know only Christ now however she should learn how to put her emotions to the side and take care of the customer base maybe because I'm black she decided to act like that I don't know God bless y'all...

This location is new to me so I decided to give it a try. At 3:30pm Saturday Feb 02 I received the WORST customer service from a rude African American woman!!! I ordered 6 glazed donuts. But there were no regular glazed donuts so I thought for a few seconds what I’d like and then she said ok there’s only 4. So I ordered the 4 and asked if she had bear claws and she responded yes!? Like I’m some kind of mind reader. I thought I’d ask bc they didn’t even have regular donuts. Anyway I continued to order a chocolate donut and she angrily responds “OK MAAM SO HOW MANY DONUTS DO YOU WANT?!” Really?! Now she’s raising her voice at me?! I couldn’t believe what had happened and just drove away. I do not have to be spending my money where I’m treated like that. When you’re working in customer service you need to be on customer service happy mode! Bc of her I’m no longer visiting this location and wish this review could be zero stars! People like that ruin people’s businesses and hopefully this location can hire better, happy, hard working...
