Summit Inn has gone above and beyond to care for their customers as is evident with their cleaning policy which ensures their rooms are the cleanest. This is a family owned and operated business and they make you feel like part of their family too. The staff is genuinely kind, polite and make every effort to ensure your stay is a comfortable and pleasant experience. Summit Inn has everything you need within walking distance. This location has a 24 hour convenience store directly across the street with some of the lowest gas prices around. Additionally, it is only a 15 minute walk to the Michael E. Debakey VA Medical Center with restaurants in both directions as well as an Aldi grocery store, Whataburger, Walgreens and CVS close by on Old Spanish Trail. For those of us who utilize Houston’s Metro, the multiple award winning safe, clean, reliable, accessible, and friendly public transportation service, there is a bus stop #12688 approximately 50 feet away for $1.25 to travel east or directly across the street is the bus stop #12689 to travel west towards the hospital for the same low price. I'ma keep it 100 with y'all, if you need somewhere to stay for a day or 2, id suggest here, BUT ONLY IF YOU'RE BOOKING THOUGH AN APP FOR DISCOUNTED PRICES. Bro, the service was bad, they were coo but I stayed there for like 2 weeks, and they never came to knock or ask if we needed anything, if we needed something we'd have to catch them B4 they left. The ice machine is broke and our rooms coffee maker, our room 216 had bed bugs, not a lot but I got bit like 3 times while I was there and seen like 3-4 roaches, behind the bed/bedframes are horrid, I don't think they actually wash linen, I say that bc I have purple dye in my hair and wen it's wet the dye comes out, so I dry my hair one night and my dye is on it, I get "clean" towels the morning after. My mom said one of the towels had a brown spot but the maids left so we had to wait, fast-forward to the next day, we get new towels and I see my hair dye on a towel that was supposedly "cleaned". Anyway again id suggest this for a quick stay but if you're waiting for an apartment or out of town or anything past a 1-2 day, don't book here cuz it's not worth the $70-$80 they try n...

I checked out at 11am with my children and newborn. I was waiting for my husband to see if he made the money for our room and he couldn't due to the rain. When my husband arrived in the Lyft it started raining harder and lightning, so we stood out the rain by the room we checked out. Some guy that stay in the same hotel asked was we're okay. We told him the honest truth we're trying to get a ride across the street to get our newborn out the rain. He was about to just get us a ride but end up asking if that's all we need. I told him we needed to get our room but we didn't come up with the money yet and he asked how much is it and I told him. After he gave me the money I was money short a little. I gave it a try and went to the front desk to book even though I was short. The owner said it's okay do you want to go in the same room. I'm Soo thankful because some is all for money.
