First time in, and I was greeted by Ella, who was very friendly and personable. In fact, she greeted me with a hug. That was delightfully unusual.

For the bakery, it’s unique being that they advertise a health conscious menu comprised of cookies, stuffed cups (a cookie inside of a cupcake. Some sort of Matryoshka bakery phenomenon), and brownies. So you’re telling me I can indulge in a healthy cookie?...... Okay, I’m hyped.

Overwhelmed by a cookie inside of a cupcake, and walls adorned of cookies, I was paralyzed by craving. She noticed and reacted by bringing me back, like a medic inserting an EpiPen, by giving me a rundown of what they had.

Wasn’t sure what to get. Everything sounded “sweet”. In an attempt to narrow the field, I asked her if she had anything with cinnamon. She did and went beyond regular customer service and offered to let me sample a piece of the Caramel Pecan Crunch cookie 🍪. It was delicious 😋. “One of those!” I clamored. “We’re out” ...pause for a moment of Existential crises.

To my dismay she was all out of the Caramel Pecan Crunch. It was so good, that the fact they were out made sense.

So she offered one of their signature “stuffed cups”. The Vegan Cinnamon Apple Caramel Pecan Crunch, to be precise, and I agreed.

Can’t say that I had the stuffed cup yet. When I got home there were peanut m&m’s on the kitchen table.

But if it taste as good as it looks, then I’m in for a treat.

She literally writes your name on your cookie bag in the cutest Sharpie script, every time, and hand-stamps each bag with the Crumbville logo. It’s a little detail, but it makes you feel seen.

The space itself is just as sweet as the treats—cozy, bright, and full of personality. That big picture window lets the sun pour in, giving everything that soft, natural glow. It really feels like you’re stepping into someone’s home, not just a storefront. And if you’re into old-school vinyl or looking for some fun Crumbhead merch, she’s got a little section for that too. It’s very much a vibe.
